Abstract: An automatic directional explosive-type fire suppression device includes a container formed from two complimentary sections comprising a shield and a base; a fire extinguishing agent contained within the container; and an explosive charge assembly contained within the container. A portion of the shield is extended outward at an angle forming a skirt such that activation of the explosive charge within the container shatters the base and the fire extinguishing agent is automatically dispersed downward within a range of angles controlled by the skirt to extinguish or suppress a fire.
