  • Patent number: 7575068
Abstract: A full support bearing for a grader circle including a first radial groove in a cylindrical portion of the circle includes a group of inserts forming a second support groove within the first radial groove. It also includes circle supports sized and shaped such that the gap between any two circle supports is small. The circle supports are arranged along a circumference of the circle and rigidly attached to a draw bar. The arrangement results in virtual 360 degree circle support, lower loads, and smaller material deflections at all loaded areas, and significantly increased durability due to a resultant reduction in wear rates.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 31, 2006
Date of Patent: August 18, 2009
    Assignee: Deere & Company

  • Patent number: 6644429
Abstract: A dual path hydrostatic drive system having an electronic auxiliary drive auxiliary drive controller controlling the hydraulic output of left and right variable displacement pumps in response to the speed of the main drive wheels and a speed ratio signal from a speed ratio input control. In addition, the auxiliary drive auxiliary drive controller controls the outputs of the pumps within three basic boundary conditions; a hydraulic pressure boundary condition, a motor speed boundary condition and a power boundary condition. A clutch mode activation switch has two positions for signaling the auxiliary drive auxiliary drive controller to operate in a first mode in which the auxiliary drive system is shut down upon activation of the main clutch or a second mode where the auxiliary drive controller attempts to mirror the operation of the main drive wheels.

  • Patent number: 3986563
Abstract: A motor grader includes a blade support frame in the form of a drawbar located beneath and having its forward end universally pivotally connected to an arched beam forming a fore-and-aft extending main frame section of the grader. The drawbar is further connected to the arched beam through means of a suspension and control linkage including a pair of bell cranks pivotally connected at opposite sides of the beam for movement about respective fore-and-aft axes. A transverse bar extends beneath the beam and has opposite ends thereof respectively pivotally connected to respective first arms of the bell cranks. A pair of two-way hydraulic lift actuators respectively have first ends pivotally connected to respective second arms of the bell crank and respectively have second ends pivotally connected to opposite side of the drawbar.
