  • Patent number: 10313726
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing access to media content via a media channel based on associated content being provided over a different channel. In some aspects, it is determined that a media identifier corresponds to media content provided over a first media channel. In response to the determination, a notification facilitation system can identify multiple computing devices that have been configured to receive additional media content that is associated with the media content provided over the first media channel. The notification facilitation system can provide access to the additional media content via a second media channel by the identified computing devices in response to identifying the plurality of computing devices.

  • Publication number: 20190139094
Abstract: An online system receives information describing actions performed by individuals and identifies online system users included among these individuals. Based on the actions they have performed, the users are assigned to sequentially ordered stages of a classification scheme associated with a content-providing user of the online system. The online system receives content items associated with different stages from the content-providing user, in which content items associated with a stage may be presented to users assigned to the stage. The online system may determine an expected return value associated with each stage and an expected advancement value associated with advancement of users assigned to each stage to succeeding stages of the classification scheme. The online system also may determine a value associated with a content item based on a comprehensive value received from the content-providing user, the expected advancement value, and a predicted likelihood of user advancement to a succeeding stage.

  • Patent number: 10209990
Abstract: A conditional fetch-and-phi operation tests a memory location to determine if the memory locations stores a specified value and, if so, modifies the value at the memory location. The conditional fetch-and-phi operation can be implemented so that it can be concurrently executed by a plurality of concurrently executing threads, such as the threads of wavefront at a GPU. To execute the conditional fetch-and-phi operation, one of the concurrently executing threads is selected to execute a compare-and-swap (CAS) operation at the memory location, while the other threads await the results. The CAS operation tests the value at the memory location and, if the CAS operation is successful, the value is passed to each of the concurrently executing threads.

  • Patent number: 10116914
Abstract: A stereoscopic display system includes an image display panel, viewpoint position sensors, and a means to create first or left and second or right stereoscopic images corrected for parallax. This allows for multiple viewpoints to perceive the viewed 3D stereoscopic image as approximately fixed in space. In one embodiment, the first and second images may be perceived as a 3D stereoscopic image by applying shutter glasses. In another embodiment, the first and second images may be perceived as a 3D auto stereoscopic image by applying configurable louvers or light guiding layers. In this embodiment, the display system utilizes information from the position sensors to optimize electronically configurable louvers. This allows for large displays to be seen from multiple viewpoints. The virtual 3D stereoscopic object images, being virtually fixed in space may be interacted with by the user or users in much the same way 2D objects are manipulated by applying a touch screen.

  • Publication number: 20180244200
Abstract: A commercial trailer camera interface for providing an apparatus and method for connecting video cameras and data buses from a trailer to the tow vehicle. The trailer camera interface generally includes a nose box, which affixes to the front of the trailer, a tail box which affixes inside the rear of the tow vehicle, and an umbilical cable which connects the nose box to the tail box. The nose box encodes the video signals, for example as differential signals, for transmission over the umbilical cable and the tail box decodes the received encoded signals to recover the video signals. The nose box and the tail box may each include a plurality of video camera connectors. The tail box may include a video handler to display or record or stream the video signals.

  • Publication number: 20180225357
Abstract: An approach for self-improving classification. The approach receives sensor data of a machine, wherein the sensor data is collected during operation of the machine. The approach defines one or more categories, wherein each category of the one or more categories is associated with one or more parameters. The approach determines whether the sensor data matches one or more parameters of a first category of the one or more categories. Responsive to a determination that the sensor data matches the one or more parameters of the first category, the approach classifies the sensor data into the first category. The approach applies a first category label to the sensor data, wherein the first category label is associated with the first category.

  • Patent number: 9986228
Abstract: Embodiments present different images to multiple viewers of a shared display using glasses with lenses that transmit only selected images from the display. The images viewed by each of the glasses may be based on the tracked position and orientation of the glasses, so that the images correspond to the user's viewpoint. Different images may also be presented to left and right eyes for 3D stereoscopic viewing. The position and orientation of the lenses of the glasses may be tracked by analyzing images from one or more cameras observing the glasses. Glasses may have distinctive geometric shapes or features, such as circular lenses or rims, or recognizable blobs or patterns, to facilitate tracking. The lenses of the glasses may combine multiple barriers such as anaglyph filters, polarizing filters, and shutters, to select images from the display. Glasses may also be used as pointing devices to select and manipulate 3D objects.
