Abstract: The process for facilities maintenance scheduling includes storing in a database at least one operational characteristic of at least one component requiring inspection over a service lifetime. The operational characteristic of the at least one component is monitored with a sensor and the status of the operational characteristic is communicated to the database over a communication network. The database updates the operational characteristic therein based on the status received from the sensor over the communication network, and adjusts an inspection schedule for the at least one component based on the status of the operational characteristic received by the database from the sensor over the communication network.
