Abstract: A system automatically configures a data exchange system used for exchanging data between different computer systems using different data formats. The system includes an input processor for receiving an input message having a first data format employed by a particular message source and a configuration processor. The configuration processor parses and interprets the input message to identify characteristics including individual data fields and updates stored data conversion information for use in converting data from the particular message source having the first data format to a desired output format used by a target destination system, in response to the identified characteristics.

Abstract: A data transformation system includes a display generator for displaying an image. The image includes a first window showing a first data structure having at least one data element and a second window showing a second data structure having at least one data element. The image also includes a display element enabling a user to specify an operation for transforming the at least one data element in the first data structure to a corresponding at least one data element in the second data structure. A processor compares the first and second data structures and conditions the display generator to visually indicate structural differences in the data structure shown in the first window and/or the data structure shown in the second window.

Abstract: A system for use in managing data elements supporting operation of a multi-entity enterprise includes a first repository including a centralized set of enterprise related data elements. A first mapping processor converts a first data element compatible with a source system to a second data element compatible with the centralized set of enterprise related data elements. A second mapping processor converts the second data element to a third data element compatible with a destination system.
