Abstract: The present invention is directed to a bio-fluid detector such as a hemoglobin detector having the capability of receiving, storing and transmitting health information utilizing a portable transmitter and receiver including electronic PDAs such as cell phones. Further, the present invention utilizes a non-invasive hemoglobin detector that is connected to a portable transmitter-receiver such as PDAs including, but not limited to, cell phones.

Abstract: The invention provides a communication interface that is configured to exchange digital data packets configured with a simplified header format with a PDA, and is further configured to exchange digital data configured with a conventional header format with a device such as a computer server communicating with a network, such as the Internet. When directed to exchange data between a PDA and a computer, the interface is capable of converting the header of a data packet from one header format to another header format. This allows seamless communication between the computer and the PDA.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for facilitating communication between a wireless device, such as a PDA or a laptop computer and disparate devices or systems. A device is provided that is configured to receive and examine data packets transmitted between a wireless device and a device that communicates with a network. Based on information in the data packet, if the data packet is configured under a first protocol, the communication device is configured to filter out the certain data packets transmissions to particular wireless devices, such as PDAs. If the communication device is not configured under the first protocol, such as a laptop computer, the communication device is configured to transmit the all data packets destined for the wireless device.
