  • Publication number: 20250371202
Abstract: Methods and systems for security event detection are disclosed. A device may determine that it is not receiving power from a power line circuit located external to the device. The device may comprise at least one contact configured to connect to the power line circuit. Based on applying a first signal via the at least one contact, a reactance associated with the at least one contact may be determined. A cause for the device not receiving power from the power line circuit may be determined based on the reactance.

  • Publication number: 20250305854
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for determining a security status are described. Magnetic fields may be detected by sensors that are positioned to determine the location of a magnet. The location of the magnet may be used to determine the configuration of an object to which the magnet is attached. The use of multiple sensors may be used to detect null regions of magnetic fields that may not be detected by one of the sensors. Further, potential malfunctions in the sensors may be determined automatically.

  • Publication number: 20250308373
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for detecting tampering to a security system. A device may determine whether the device lost power due to a power outage or a tampering attempt. The device may send, to another device on the premises, a request for an indication of the power source providing power to another device. The device may receive, from another device, a response indicating the power source providing power to another device. Based on the power source providing power to another device, the device may send a notification.

  • Publication number: 20250174112
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for detecting false alarms are disclosed. An indication may be received that a sensor device has changed state. Data indicative of movement of the sensor device may also be received. Based on the received data indicative of movement of the sensor device, it may be determined whether the movement of the sensor device is abnormal. Based on the changed state of the sensor device and based on determining that the movement of the sensor device is abnormal, an indication of a false alarm may be caused to be output.
