  • Patent number: 10352952
Abstract: A sample identification system for an automated sampling and dispensing device is described. In an example implementation, the sample identification system includes a sample probe configured to contact a sample positioned within a sample vessel. Further, the sample identification system includes an identifier capture device configured to measure a sample identifier associated with the sample vessel and generate a data signal in response thereto, where the data signal corresponds to an identity of the at least one sample. During operation, the identifier capture device scans a sample holder, a sample vessel, or a table top of the automated sampling and dispensing device to measure the sample identifier and to generate the data signal in response thereto.

  • Patent number: 7975904
Abstract: The invention provides an intermediate form for use in forming a business type mailer, such as a Z-fold or an eccentric Z-fold mailer. The intermediate form is configured as an individual intermediate that is supplied as a single sheet where a multiple of intermediates is provided in stacked form. Alternatively, the intermediate form is configured such that a multiple of intermediates can be provided as a continuous web or sheet and can be supplied in a roll form. The single sheet intermediate and the web or roll form intermediate are defined with pluralities of patterns of cohesive disposed at certain locations along first and second, or front and back, surfaces of the intermediates such that when provided in a stacked form or a roll form the cohesive patterns do not touch or overlap one another.

  • Patent number: 7386531
Abstract: A system and method for electronic file management includes an object-oriented file management database, a volume manager, and a coherency manager. The volume manager manages electronic files and metadata relating to the files of one or more volumes. Each volume may include folders, files, and/or other digital content. The coherency manager, among other things, facilitates consistency among multiple volume managers through the management of file versions and/or related files within or among the multiple volumes. The coherency manager utilizes metadata associated with files. A user interface allows a user to view and manage, within the file management system, metadata associated with the electronic files.

  • Publication number: 20070294644
Abstract: The invention's features improve the user interaction of Caret and Selection manipulation in text GUI components. The Precaret, like the Caret, indicates a position between text characters, but unlike the Caret, the Precaret continually tracks the Cursor, jumping from position to position to indicate exactly where the Caret will be placed when the mouse is clicked. The Gapper visually indicates a gap of one or more white space characters in the text or a gap of white space between paragraphs; the Gapper tracks either the Precaret or the Caret, whichever moved last. An enhanced Cursor switches to a less-obtrusive form while it is over text so as not to obscure the position of the Precaret while moving the mouse or the leading edge of the Selection while dragging the mouse. The Caret and Precaret change shape to indicate a special feature of a position within the text, such as the wrapping of one text row to the next.

  • Publication number: 20070043398
Abstract: An implantable medical device comprising stimulation circuitry adapted to provide neural stimulation energy to a neural stimulation electrode, one or more timers, including at least one neural event timer, a device behavior memory including a neural table, and a comparison circuit. The neural table maps a particular device state defined at least in part by a neural event timer to one or more associated device actions that include at least one of a neural stimulation energy delivery, a change in state of at least one neural event timer, and both a neural stimulation energy delivery and a change in state of one or more timers. The comparison circuit is adapted to compare a current state of one or more timers to a device state in the neural table and, if found to match, causing performance of one or more associated device actions.
