Abstract: A method for updating a DRAM memory array is disclosed. The method comprises: a) receiving a command from a memory controller to initiate an active cycle for activating a memory row in a DRAM memory array; b) performing an Error Correction Code (ECC) scrub on the memory row prior to reading data from the memory row into sense amplifiers in the DRAM memory array in accordance with the command to activate; c) activating the memory row; and d) writing corrected data following the ECC scrub back into memory from the sense amplifiers during a pre-charge cycle of the DRAM memory array.

Abstract: Described herein are sacrificial templates generated from water soluble thermoplastic-divalent cation-composite materials, such as poly(vinyl alcohol)-calcium. Also described herein are methods for the use of such sacrificial templates in casting of precise internal space microarchitectures within hydrogels, such as microchannel networks within alginate hydrogels.

Abstract: A splitter system for a vehicle includes a splitter body having a first splitter body side-section and a second splitter body side-section. The vehicle includes a vehicle body arranged along a longitudinal body axis and having a first vehicle body end configured to face incident ambient airflow. The splitter body is mounted at the first vehicle body end to generate an aerodynamic downforce thereon when the vehicle is in motion. A mechanism is configured to selectively and individually shift each of the first splitter body side-section and the second splitter body side-section relative to the first vehicle body end. The shifting of the splitter body side-sections by the mechanism in turn adjusts the aerodynamic downforce generated by the splitter body side-sections on the first vehicle body end.

Abstract: In embodiments of imaging structure emitter calibration, an imaging unit includes an emitter structure that direct emits light, and optics direct the light along a light path in the imaging unit to illuminate a projection surface. A reflective panel reflects a portion of the light to illuminate a light sensor. An imaging application receives the sensor data from the light sensor, where the sensor data corresponds to emitted light output from the emitter structure. The imaging application can then initiate a calibration input to the emitter structure to adjust the emitted light output from the emitter structure.

Abstract: A region of space may be monitored for the presence or absence of one or more control objects, and object attributes and changes thereto may be interpreted as control information provided as input to a machine or application. In some embodiments, the region is monitored using a combination of scanning and image-based sensing.

A method of determining link loss in a channel includes varying optical power of a light source to determine the maximum optical power at which the TIA squelches and determining the link loss in the channel by subtracting the maximum optical power from the threshold optical power. A method of determining link topology includes selecting a pattern of optical powers and matching a pattern of squelched and non-squelched outputs with the pattern of optical power. An active optical cable includes memory storing a value related to an initial link loss of the active optical cable.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for performing policy-managed, peer-to-peer service orchestration in a manner that supports the formation of self-organizing service networks that enable rich media experiences. In one embodiment, services are distributed across peer-to-peer communicating nodes, and each node provides message routing and orchestration using a message pump and workflow collator. Distributed policy management of service interfaces helps to provide trust and security, supporting commercial exchange of value. Peer-to-peer messaging and workflow collation allow services to be dynamically created from a heterogeneous set of primitive services. The shared resources are services of many different types, using different service interface bindings beyond those typically supported in a web service deployments built on UDDI, SOAP, and WSDL.

The load balancer queries a monitoring server for a list of one or more application servers associated with the application. The monitoring server determines, based on cache state information of the plurality of application servers, the list of one or more application servers. In one example, the method includes receiving an indicator of a public key associated with a client computing device, determining that the public key associated with the client computing device is in common with a public key associated with a first server computing device, compiling the script, signing the compiled script with a private key that is associated with the public key that is in common with the client computing device and the first server computing device without generating a new private key, and sending the signed compiled script to the client computing device.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method for performing in situ repairs of internal components of a gas turbine engine may generally include inserting a repair tool through an access port of the gas turbine engine such that the repair tool includes a tip end positioned within the gas turbine engine and a material supply end positioned outside the gas turbine engine. The method may also include positioning the tip end of the repair tool adjacent to a defect of an internal component of the gas turbine engine, wherein the defect defines a fillable volume along a portion of the internal component. In addition, the method may include supplying a filler material to the tip end of the repair tool and expelling the filler material from the tip end of the repair tool such that the fillable volume is at least partially filled with the filler material.

The resource manager receives computing metrics from the resources and may perform a management action when a customer defined usage limit is satisfied. Abstract: A multilayer medical packaging film includes a first layer and a chlorine dioxide-producing layer. The chlorine dioxide-producing layer includes a polymer composition and a plurality of chlorite ions. The chlorine dioxide-producing layer is substantially free of an energy-activated catalyst and is substantially free of an acid-releasing compound. However, the film is capable of generating chlorine dioxide when exposed to UV light and moisture.
