  • Publication number: 20240384860
Abstract: A lighting device includes a base configured to be attachable to a support structure. A light housing is coupled to the base and is configured to be engageable with a light source to illuminate a light beam along an illumination axis. The light housing is attached to the base in a manner which allows the light housing to be moveable relative to the base. A beam modifying device is configured to be selectively attachable to the light housing in optical alignment with the light source. The light housing is configured such that movement of the light housing relative to the base facilitates adjustment of the position of an illuminated area. The beam modifying device is configured such that attachment of the beam modifying device to the light housing facilitates adjustment of the size of the illuminated area.

  • Patent number: 9432191
Abstract: A public-key encryption system. Encryption of a k-bit plaintext m is performed by picking a random generating ciphertext and outputting the ciphertext. N is a non-prime integer (preferably the product of two primes p and q), y is an element in multiplicative group of integers modulo N, and k is an integer larger than 1, Decryption of ciphertext c using private key is performed by recovering such that holds and outputting plaintext m, wherein denotes the 2k-th power residue symbol modulo p, which is defined. Also provided are an encryption device and a decryption device. The encryption scheme provides better bandwidth than the Goldwasser-Micali encryption scheme.

  • Patent number: 9384343
Abstract: During log-on of a user to an entity protected by a password, the password is verified by iteratively receiving a password character; and verifying that the received character complies with a predefined property (?) that sets at least one requirement for allowable passwords. If this is not the case, then this can indicate a brute force attack and appropriate action may be taken. The property ? may be dependent on the user. Also provided are a corresponding device and a computer program product.

  • Publication number: 20140140504
Abstract: Collaborative execution by a first device and a second device of a software application comprising at least one encrypted instruction. The first device obtains a first encrypted instruction; generates a session key; encrypts the first encrypted instruction; encrypts the session key using a symmetric algorithm and a first key; and transfers the encrypted first encrypted instruction and the encrypted session key to the second device. The second device decrypts the encrypted session key using the first key; decrypts the encrypted first encrypted instruction to obtain the first encrypted instruction; decrypts the first encrypted instruction using a third key to obtain an instruction; encrypts the instruction using the symmetric encryption algorithm and the session key to obtain a second encrypted instruction; and transfers the second encrypted instruction to the first device. The first device decrypts the second encrypted instruction using the session key to obtain the instruction; and executes the instruction.

  • Patent number: 8732819
Abstract: A device and a method for graphical passwords. A device displays an initial image comprising a plurality of graphical elements, each graphical element having at least two variants; receives user input to select a variant of a number of the graphical elements, thereby generating a modified image; and generates the secret value from at least the selected variants of the graphical elements. The graphical elements are advantageously seamlessly integrated in the images, thereby making the system resistant to shoulder surfing attacks.

  • Publication number: 20070279901
Abstract: The present invention provides a flashlight or device having a body with a battery, and a circuit therebetween; recharging terminals for recharging the battery and an adaptor having electrical connectors for connecting to a power supply; structural connection means on the body and or the adaptor to releasably connect the body and the adaptor; and electrical connection means on both the body and the adaptor to releasably electrically connect the terminals and the adaptor. The present invention also provides a flashlight having a body with a light means at one end, a battery, and a circuit therebetween, so that when the circuit is closed the light means will generate light; the light means including a conical reflector, a white light LED emitting a conical light output and a double convex lens portion, the double convex lens portion being located away from the LED so that the outside diameter of the double convex lens portion will a circle of light from the LED which is of substantially the same diameter.

  • Publication number: 20070217198
Abstract: A lighting device has a light source, a light pipe, two convex magnifying lenses, and an adjusting mechanism for moving the two magnifying lenses relative to the light source. The light emitted from the light source is dispersed and directed into the light pipe by a reflector. The light pipe transfers collimated light through the first and second magnifier lenses which redirects the light to produce a circular spotlight beam having uniform intensity. The size of the spotlight beam is adjusted by an adjusting mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20060087842
Abstract: A lighting device (10) is provided which uses multiple LEDs to illuminate a target area. The lighting device includes first and second light emitting diodes (24, 26) spaced apart from each other. A first convex magnifier lens (34) is arranged in a light path of the first light emitting diode (24) for focusing light onto a target area. A second convex magnifier lens (36) is arranged in a light path of the second light emitting diode (26) for focusing light onto the same target area. The first and second magnifier lenses (34, 36) are supported relative to the first and second light emitting diodes (24, 26) , respectively, by a cover (32).

  • Publication number: 20060034075
Abstract: A flashlight that can be adjusted to provide different size light patterns at a predefined distance from the light is disclosed. The light patterns are always in-focus thereby providing well defined and uniformly illuminated areas of light. The focusing mechanism utilizes stationary lenses and a movable lens to adjust the diameter of the light pattern without allowing the pattern to become out of focus.

  • Publication number: 20050254233
Abstract: A lighting device (10) has a light source, a light pipe (28), two convex magnifying lenses (40, 60), and an adjusting mechanism (20) for moving the two magnifying lenses (40, 60) relative to the light source. The light emitted from the light source is dispersed and directed into the light pipe (28) by a reflector (26). The light pipe (28) transfers collimated light through the first (40) and second (60) magnifier lenses which redirects the light to produce a circular spotlight beam having uniform intensity.
