  • Patent number: 7680152
Abstract: A method is described for establishing one user from multiple users of a data network as a pilot master for emitting a pilot signal, to which the other users of the data network may synchronize themselves. In the related art, a pilot signal is typically generated by a separate pilot signal generator or a permanently predefined selected user. However, this has the disadvantage that if the pilot signal generator or the selected user malfunctions, synchronization and therefore also communication of the users with one another via the data network is no longer possible. In order to avoid this disadvantage, it is suggested that at least two of the users of the data network be implemented to be pilot-master-capable and one of them assume the pilot mastership according to a described method.

  • Publication number: 20020005060
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for the interference-free evaluation of signals is disclosed, with which output signals of sensors can be evaluated; two inputs are needed for each sensor. If a ground-referred signal evaluation is to be done, then only one input is needed for each sensor. The evaluation is done using differential circuitry; in the operating mode with ground reference, the differential signal processing is done by employing an internally generated reference voltage. The choice of operating mode of the circuit arrangement can be made from outside freely via its own control pin.

  • Patent number: 5666329
Abstract: An electronic control device for controlling a fuel injection starting time and an injection duration in an internal combustion engine has an event device (E) which generates an event signal (ES) as a function of a prescribed occurrence of an event and a device for controlling or setting the injection duration including a first register (R1), a loading device (L) and a counter (Z). The event device (E) includes a second register (R2), a clock device (TE) and a comparator (K) which compares a stored register value in the second register (R2) with clock data from the clock device (TE) to produce a comparator signal for generation of the event signal (ES) when the stored register value corresponds to the clock data from the clock device.

  • Patent number: 5606257
Abstract: A device which reshapes sinusoidal signals with a singularity to generate square-wave signals and detects the singularity in an unambiguous and reliable manner. The sinusoidal pulses are reshaped into square-wave pulses in such a way that the edges of the square-wave pulses always occur at the same location regardless of the height of the sinusoidal signal. This is achieved in that a change in the edges of the square-wave signals is initiated whenever the sinusoidal signal crosses the zero-axis. The required signal processing and logical comparisons, which also enable a definite detection of reference marks, are carried out in a suitable circuit arrangement.
