  • Patent number: 11806605
Abstract: A toe-piece of a ski binding for ski mountaineering has a base, a first jaw, a second jaw, an activating lever, a joint, a housing, and elastic means. The first jaw is provided with a first guide, and the second jaw is provided with a second guide. The activating lever is rotatably coupled to the base. The joint is activatable by the activating lever, which includes a first sliding element slidably coupled with the first guide and a second sliding element slidably coupled with the second guide, so that the activation of the activating lever causes, via the joint, the rotation of the first jaw and the second jaw. The housing is borne by the base. The elastic means are arranged in the housing so as to push the joint to wedge against the first jaw and the second jaw.

  • Publication number: 20230347231
Abstract: A toe-piece of a ski binding includes rotatable first and second clamping members respectively provided with first and second jaws. First and second rotatable supports rotatably bear the first clamping member and the second clamping member, respectively. In a ski descent configuration, the first and second jaws can elastically retract if solicited by a tip of a ski boot. The first clamping member has a third jaw with a first pin, while the second clamping member has a fourth jaw with a second pin. Locking means are provided which when the ski boot tip is between the third and fourth jaws, the blocking means are activatable to block the third and fourth jaws in angular blocking positions in which the first pin is inserted in a first hole of a ski boot and the second pin is inserted in a second hole of the ski boot, making walking uphill possible.

  • Publication number: 20230256319
Abstract: A rear portion of a ski mountaineering binding has a base with a turret rotatable into a first position. The binding portion attaches to a ski boot heel for downhill skiing. The turret has a second position for walking uphill. A ski brake includes a braking lever rotatable to assume a braking position and a non-active position. The brake has elastic for rotating the braking lever towards the braking position, the braking lever is pressed by the ski boot heel, when the turret is in the first position, in order to reach the non-active position. A rotation member rotatably borne by the base bears the braking lever. The rotation member and the turret are interconnected and solidly constrained to one another, with the turret in the second turret position and the braking lever in the non-active position, to enable walking uphill.

  • Patent number: 11701571
Abstract: A rear portion of a ski mountaineering binding includes a base, a turret rotatable with respect to the base, a brake fixable to the ski for braking the ski, first elastic element arranged to exert a force to bring the brake into a braking configuration, and a hooking member borne by the base and having a hook for hooking the brake. The hooking member has engaged and disengaged configurations. A second elastic element pushes the hooking member into the engaged configuration. A cam borne by the turret has a pusher borne by the base, activatable by the cam and movable along a second movement path. The hooking member includes an abutment for abutting the pusher and is activatable by the turret via the cam and the pusher, to assume the disengaged configuration and alternately the engaged configuration.

  • Patent number: 11305177
Abstract: A front insert for a ski mountaineering boot has first and second heads, positionable on lateral portions of a front part of the boot, a first housing in the first head, a second housing in the second head, and two contact elements with respective holes for coupling with respective hooking elements of a binding. The housings and respective ones of the contact elements are reciprocally conformed so as to enable the contact elements to displace from internal positions with respect to the housings, towards the outside, so that the contact elements orient with respect to the housings so that the holes can misalign from an alignment axis to maintain the contact with the hooking elements following a rotation of the ski boot with respect to the ski.
