Abstract: A beverage brewing device includes a water tank, a base, a filter, a plug assembly, and an actuator mechanism. The base supports the water tank above a support surface. The plug assembly connects with the water tank and is operable between an open operating position in which water can flow from the water tank through the plug assembly and a closed operating position in which water is precluded from flowing through the plug assembly. The actuator mechanism is movable between a first operating position and a second operating position. The actuator mechanism is cooperates with the plug assembly such that when in the first operating position the plug assembly is in the closed operating position and when in the second operating position the plug assembly is in the open operating position. The actuator mechanism includes an operator actuated surface that is accessible from an exterior of the base.

The kettle includes a reservoir, a heating element in the kettle for heating water in the reservoir, a spout for pouring water from the reservoir, and a pump inlet opening for providing heated water from the reservoir to the pump inlet. The pumped fluid conduit is connected with the pump outlet and includes a pumped fluid outlet. The brew basket assembly includes a pumped fluid outlet receptacle and a brew basket. The reservoir is selectively fluidly connectable with the brew basket via the pump inlet opening in the kettle being selectively fluidly connected with the pump inlet or the pumped fluid conduit outlet being selectively fluidly connectable with the pumped fluid outlet receptacle to selectively provide heated water from the reservoir to the brew basket.

Abstract: A storage container assembly comprises a storage receptacle and a removable lid. The storage receptacle has a base and a continuous sidewall connected to the base. The sidewall projects upward from the base to a peripheral edge. The removable lid has a rigid central cover portion and a flexible seal portion that traverses a perimeter of the rigid central portion. The flexible seal portion has a release tab disposed along its periphery, and a pocket disposed inward of the release tab. The flexible seal portion further has a ledge disposed generally at the periphery of the flexible seal portion. The ledge contacts the peripheral edge of the storage receptacle. The flexible seal portion further has and a blade portion disposed below the ledge. The blade portion contacts the side wall of the storage receptacle and forms a generally fluid-tight seal with the sidewall.

Abstract: A cooking vessel assembly comprises a cooking vessel and a removable lid. The cooking vessel has a base and a continuous sidewall. The sidewall connects to the base, projecting upwardly from the base and terminates at a peripheral edge. The removable lid has a covering portion and a handle. The handle has a griping portion, a connecting section, and a supporting section. The connecting section connects the handle to the lid covering portion. The gripping section extends from the connecting section. The supporting section extends from the connecting section in a direction generally opposite of the gripping section and has a cooking vessel retaining portion. A gap is formed between the connecting section and the supporting section. The cooking vessel retaining portion receives the peripheral edge of the cooking vessel to secure the lid to the cooking vessel in an open position to allow access to the base of the cooking vessel.
