    Abstract: A build material management system for a 3D printing system is described in which at least a portion of non-fused build material is recovered from a collection source of the build material management system. A recyclability indicator indicative of the presence of recyclable material in the non-fused build material is determined by processing circuitry of the build material management system. A routing of the non-fused build material from the collection source to at least one of a waste port and a storage container based on the recyclability indicator is controlled by the processing circuitry. Recovered non-fused build material is output by the waste port. Recyclable non-fused build material is stored by the storage container.
