  • Patent number: 9802536
Abstract: An acoustic feedback system includes a memory and processor to receive at least one of a plurality of output signals from a plurality of sensors. The system determines whether an output signal has reached a first threshold, and sends an audible sound signal to a speaker(s) based on the first threshold. Thus, the acoustic feedback system utilizes output signals of various vehicle sensors and generates audible signals based on the sensor output signals.

  • Patent number: 9245519
Abstract: Systems and methods to cancel noise in a vehicle are disclosed. A first speaker is positioned forward of a steering wheel of a vehicle. The first speaker generates a first signal configured to acoustically cancel noise produced by operation of the vehicle. A second speaker is positioned forward of the steering wheel. The second speaker generates a second signal to acoustically cancel the noise produced by the operation of the vehicle. The first and the second speakers are capable of generating the first and the second signals independently of one another.

  • Patent number: 9202453
Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus comprising an active noise reduction system. The active noise reduction system comprises an input transducer for transducing acoustic noise to a noise signal. The input transducer has a first sensitivity at a threshold temperature. The active noise reduction system includes circuitry that receives the noise signal and, in response, compensates for an effect by an ambient temperature on a second sensitivity of the input transducer by preventing the second sensitivity from being greater than the first sensitivity in response to a temperature deviation from the threshold temperature.

  • Patent number: 6993246
Abstract: Events in a first data stream are correlated with events in a second data stream based on a method of indexing. As information of a first and second data stream are stored to a data file, the data streams are monitored for certain trigger events. An informational data set is generated and stored in an index file for each detected trigger event. Preferably, each informational data set includes the type of detected event, a time-stamp indicating when the event occurred and a data pointer indicating where the data associated with the event is stored in a corresponding data file. When time-stamps of detected trigger events in both data streams are generated based on a common system clock, data in one data stream is correlated with data in another data stream based on the time-stamps.

  • Patent number: 6490553
Abstract: The disclosed method and apparatus controls the rate of playback of audio data corresponding to a stream of speech. Using speech recognition, the rate of speech of the audio data is determined. The determined rate of speech is compared to a target rate. Based on the comparison, the playback rate is adjusted, i.e. increased or decreased, to match the target rate.

  • Patent number: 6421084
Abstract: A digital imaging system is provided for interpolating a full color image from a camera having an array of single color sensors. Measured color values are stored as an array of data elements in a memory of the system. Each data element corresponds to the measured color value from one sensor. A set of gradient values is determined for each data element at a specific location in the array. The gradient values correspond to color value differences in a plurality of directions from the data element. From the set of gradient values, a threshold value is determined. Using the threshold value, a subset of gradient values is selected so that the members of the subset have gradient values less than the threshold. Additional color values for each data element are interpolated according to the subset of gradient values.
