    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for obtaining IPv6 configuration information in an IPv6 transition network. The network includes an IPv4 network and an IPv6 network. An apparatus for providing IPv6 configuration information in the IPv4 network receives an IPv6 configuration information obtaining request packet sent by a user side device. In response, the apparatus sends a response packet to the user side device, where the response packet is a DHCPv4 packet, and carries the requested IPv6 configuration information. Some of the advantages of the present invention are that automatic configuration for a user side device which needs to traverse the IPv4 network to access the IPv6 network is implemented, and efficiency is greatly improved compared with a manual configuration method in the prior art.

    Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, an apparatus, and a system for controlling network traffic switching. The method for controlling network traffic switching includes: establishing a direct link interface, where the direct link interface has an address attribute of a peer node, and a value of the attribute is a peer node address of the direct link; and comparing a border gateway protocol (BGP) next-hop address of each route in a routing table with the peer node address of the direct link, and switching traffic on a route that matches a comparison result to the direct link. By using the preceding technical solution, after a direct link is established between nodes, a relevant node establishes a new type of interface for the direct link.

The method includes: receiving an access request including user information and path information; and binding the user information and the path information and saving the bound information; where the path information includes information about more than one intermediate device; and the user information is added to the access request by a terminal device, the information about the more than one intermediate device is added to the access device by the intermediate device. According to embodiments of the present invention, the received access request includes the user information and path information, and the user information and the path information are bound and saved. In this way, a network manager can locate a specific user according to the bound user information and path information, and determine information about an entire path.

    Abstract: In the field of communications technologies, a method for advertising Network Address Translation (NAT) device information is provided, so as to solve a problem in the prior art that a process for finding an NAT device is complex, and that the NAT device information acquired is limited. The method provides a packet carrying the NAT device information for a node in a private network to which the NAT device belongs by carrying the NAT device information in the packet. The method not only enables the nodes in the private network to find the NAT device, but also enables the nodes in the private network to acquire related information of the NAT device. An apparatus and a system for advertising NAT device information are also provided.
