    Abstract: A defensive shield for a ship has a support arm, pivotally mounted to a ship, and a shield pivotally mounted to one end of the support arm. The support arm is movable between a retracted position and a plurality of deployed defensive positions. In the deployed positions, the shield is outwardly spaced from the ship and angled to defend against attacks, such as aerial attacks and underwater attacks.
