Patent number: 9113544Abstract: A method for producing hyperthermal molecular hydrogen is disclosed and use of same for selectively breaking C—H or Si—H bonds without breaking other bonds are disclosed. A hydrogen plasma is maintained and protons are extracted with an electric field to accelerate them to an appropriate kinetic energy. The protons enter into a drift zone to collide with molecular hydrogen in gas phase. The cascades of collisions produce a high flux of hyperthermal molecular hydrogen with a flux many times larger than the flux of protons extracted from the hydrogen plasma. The nominal flux ratio of hyperthermal molecular hydrogen to proton is controlled by the hydrogen pressure in the drift zone, and by the length of the drift zone. The extraction energy of the protons is shared by these hyperthermal molecules so that average energy of the hyperthermal molecular hydrogen is controlled by extraction energy of the protons and the nominal flux ratio.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2010Date of Patent: August 18, 2015Assignee: HL SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY LIMITEDInventors: Leo W. Publication number: 20020194083Abstract: In a computer network, services are provisioned for a user over the network, typically via a series of messages. Depending on the particular service to be provisioned many network entities may be concerned with the provision of a particular service. However, an initiator of a service request may be unaware of all the network entities concerned with a service provision request. A system which receives a single request for service provisioning from an initiator, determines each network entity corresponding to the request from a common repository of network entities, and applies the operations concerned with the service provision request at each corresponding network entity, allows a service to be provisioned without manually searching and examining the network to determine the network entities concerned with a particular service provision request.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2002Publication date: December 19, 2002Inventors: Srinivas Balabhadrapatruni, Srinivas Loke, Prasad Dorbala, Satish L. Patent number: 6453870Abstract: An electrically conducting fuel filter mechanism for a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine. The housing for the fuel filter has a conductive inner or core layer and at least one non-conductive outer layer positioned adjacent the fuel. The conductive layer is made from a non-conductive material with conductive fibers or powders mixed in it, while the non-conductive layer is free from the conductive materials. Any electrostatic or electrical charge buildup in the fuel filter, fuel or housing, will be dissipated through the inner non-conductive layer forming conductive paths directly to the conductive layer. This prevents any further charge buildup and pitting.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2000Date of Patent: September 24, 2002Inventors: David Richard Koller, De Quan Yu, Eric Roll, Ling Bai
