  • Patent number: 10153792
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for using Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to detect, measure, and/or compensate for, antenna load mismatch are described. One method provides a test sweep signal as digital input to a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) in a transmit path ending with an antenna, and determines a transmit transfer function based on the digital input and digital output from an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) in a loopback path which is electrically connected in parallel with a load impedance of the antenna. The determined transmit transfer function may be used for any of detecting, measuring, and compensating for, antenna mismatch.

  • Publication number: 20090298530
Abstract: A wireless communication system comprising a plurality of radio devices and an interconnect to facilitate sharing of resources between the plurality of radio devices. Each radio device is coupled to the interconnect such that each radio device can communicate to all of the other radio devices to facilitate sharing of resources and each radio device can ascertain the identity of a radio device sending a signal to the interconnect. The radio devices may be coupled to the interconnect by any suitable means, for example resistively or capacitively and the signals sent to the interconnect may be at baseband or at radio frequencies. Orthogonal code techniques may be utilized to allow the identification of each radio device.

  • Patent number: 6989067
Abstract: A strip builder for winding a material strip about a rotating core includes a traveling applicator head assembly for receipt of the material strip from an upstream extruder station and transport of the strip to a downstream rotating core. The assembly includes a central support arm in longitudinal travel along the rotating core. Attached to the central support arm is a belt roller, an applicator roller spaced therefrom and a belt drive coupled therebetween. A conveyor belt is wound about the belt roller. Upon rotation of the core, the rotation of the applicator roller rotates the belt roller coupled thereto. Rotation of the belt roller drives the conveyor belt towards the core with the material strip thereon. Upon the belt passing between the belt roller and displaced applicator roller, the strip is stretched and deposited onto the applicator roller for subsequent deposit onto the rotating core. A traveling stitching roller subsequently smoothes the material strip deposited on the rotating core.
