  • Patent number: 10298471
Abstract: Included are embodiments of a system for monitoring device usage. The system may include a handheld device for performing an action, where the handheld device includes an engagement sensor and a computer that includes a processor and a memory component. The memory component stores logic that causes the computer to determine a minimum device engagement time of the handheld device. In some embodiments, the logic causes the computer to receive output data from the engagement sensor, where the output data includes an actual device engagement time, determine if the actual device engagement time is at least as long as the minimum device engagement time, and in response to determining that the actual device engagement time is at least as long as the minimum device engagement time, determine the action taken by the handheld device.

  • Publication number: 20140330576
Abstract: A mobile platform allows trainers to host online brain rehabilitation and cognitive enhancement sessions with clients. The sessions can be individually tailored or chosen from a plethora of prepared sessions. The trainer/evaluator uses real time questionnaires to evaluate the status of the patient prior to preparing the training session. They can also view the results and performance of the patient in real time or at any time after the session has been completed. The mobile platform is designed to facilitate the creation and growth of a community of users by facilitating communication and interactivity between the users upon the satisfactory completion of a battery of tests and evaluations. The mobile platform serves as an information resource for trainers and clients by incorporating a set of algorithms, rules, and guidelines regarding the administration of brain rehabilitation and cognitive enhancement sessions. This aids both trainers and clients participating in the sessions.

  • Patent number: 6061450
Abstract: Apparatus for routing local calls around the local exchange carrier includes an intelligent call diverter (ICD) which stores the Automatic Number Identification Code (ANI) of the calling telephone, and a headend for handling routing of telephone calls. When long distance calls are to be routed separately from local calls, the ICD determines whether an outgoing call is local or long distance, and routes the call accordingly. The ICD provides the ANI along with the long distance calls to the headend, and forwards local calls to the local exchange carrier (LEC). When the headend will operate as a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC), the long distance calls and the local calls are routed to the headend by the ICD along with the ANI. The headend routes the long distance calls and the ANI to the appropriate interexchange carrier and the local calls and the ANI to the LEC or to another CLEC customer's telephone.
