  • Patent number: 7671269
Abstract: Methods and systems for graphical actuation of a velocity and directionally sensitive sound generation application are disclosed. An identifier of a graphical element or elements that are traversed is received wherein the graphical element or elements are located on a coded surface. In one embodiment, the traversal has a velocity and a direction. Moreover, the traversal can be performed with an optical pen on a graphical representation of a sound generation system. The velocity and the direction of the traversal are determined and an identifier of the velocity and the direction of the traversal is used to actuate a directionally sensitive sound generation application.

  • Publication number: 20090094528
Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) can be used to provide information reflecting a user's interaction with a product using a stand-alone portable device. The user can respond to questions while interacting with the product. The responses are logged by the portable device and subsequently uploaded to the computer system, which forwards them via the Internet to a server. The computer system also forwards registration information to the server. The registration information identifies the user and the product. Based on information received from the server, the computer system generates a GUI that includes a report summarizing the information forwarded from the computer system, including the name of the product the user was interacting with, and that also includes names of additional products selected based on the forwarded information.

  • Publication number: 20090094540
Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) can be used to provide information reflecting a user's interaction with a product using a stand-alone portable device. The portable device, operable as a stand-alone device, logs inputs by a user who is interacting with a product using the portable device. Information from the portable device, including the inputs, is uploaded and then forwarded to a server. Registration information identifying the user and the product can also be sent to the server. A report specific to the user and summarizing the information forwarded to the server can be displayed, including the name of the product the user was interacting with, along with the names of additional products selected based on the forwarded information.

  • Publication number: 20020091762
Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying real time media broadcasts with pages of related information. The systems and methods allow a user to interact with related online information while simultaneously viewing a video presentation or listening to an audio presentation. A client application executing on a client system processes a streaming data signal and displays an associated real time media presentation, live or archived, on one portion of a display. Reference data pushed to the client application in the streaming data signal identifies pages of related information. The client application retrieves the pages, e.g., via HTTP requests, and displays the pages in a data frame on a second portion of the display. The pages can be created in advance of the media presentation, and when retrieved and displayed, include current information related to the subject matter of the media presentation. Information included in the pages can include links to other related information.
