  • Patent number: 8499323
Abstract: A mobile communication device comprises receiver circuitry operable to receive broadcast real-time media data over a communication interface, and signal processing logic operable to extract real-time media content from the broadcast real-time media data, and output the extracted real-time media content via a user interface of the mobile communication device. In response to determining a partial loss of data for the broadcast real-time media data, the signal processing logic is operable to retrieve stored media content from a memory element of the mobile communication device, and output the retrieved media content via the user interface of the communication device.

  • Patent number: 7575215
Abstract: An anchoring device will cooperate with a slotted aperture in a planked surface, such as a deck or boat dock, is disclosed. An example of the invention includes an internal tube that is telescopically mounted within a hollow cylindrical external tube. A support flange that is mounted to the bottom of the internal tube at one end and to a support flange at the other end extends through the bottom of the external tube. A spring is mounted between the bottom of the internal tube and the bottom of the external tube, so that the spring may be compressed by sliding the internal tube into the external tube. The sliding of the internal tube into the external tube causes the support flange to extend, so that the planked surface may be gripped between the support flange and the bottom of the external tube.

  • Publication number: 20080153451
Abstract: An RF Rx module adapted for direct surface mounting to the top surface of the front end of the motherboard of a picocell. The module comprises a printed circuit board having a plurality of direct surface mounted discrete electrical components defining a receive (Rx) section and path for RF signals. The signal receive section is defined by at least the following elements located under a lid which is attached to the surface of the board: a duplexer, a receive low pass filter, a low-noise amplifier, and a receive bandpass filter. At least one aperture in the board is adapted to accept a screw or the like for securing the module to the motherboard of the picocell.

  • Patent number: 6899020
Abstract: A smoker oven that includes a housing having an internal cavity having a top portion, a mid-portion, and a lower portion. The internal cavity houses a support frame that has at least one generally horizontal support surface for supporting and rotating a jerky rack. The jerky rack holds food items in sheet form, such as strips of jerky, at an angle to the horizontal support surface, so that upon rotation of the jerky rack the food items in sheet form cause an agitation and motion of the air within the cavity to produce even heating of the food items and cause fluids released by the food item to flow off of the food item.

  • Patent number: 6644178
Abstract: A smoker oven that includes a housing having an internal cavity having a top portion, a mid-portion, and a lower portion. The internal cavity houses a support frame that has at least one generally horizontal support surface for supporting a jerky rack, the support frame being suspended from the top portion of the housing. A heater and a smoke source, positioned immediately over the heater are located in the lower portion of the internal cavity, so that an amount of smoke released in the lower portion is allowed to rise to the support frame to expose the support surface of the support frame to the amount of smoke as a filter is used to remove the smoke form the top portion.

  • Patent number: 5580056
Abstract: A cubic puzzle construction utilizes a mathematical technique of dissecting a physical cube into a finite number of pieces to yield a block puzzle capable of the illusion of matter being created and destroyed. The component pieces are assembled in two different ways to produce the same cubic shape. However, one method of assembly requires the use of an additional piece or pieces while the second method omits these. In both methods the rigid pieces fit easily, without gaps or overlaps, to completely fill the same rigid container.

  • Patent number: 4709916
Abstract: A finger, hand and wrist exercising device, for bowlers, having finger grips simulating the arrangement of the finger holes on a bowling ball. The grips are slidably disposed on the arcuate surface of the exerciser and are spring loaded against compression between the fingers and thumb. The exerciser has a rotatable hand grip knob on the bottom surface. The hand grip knob is loaded in torsion against rotation of the exerciser. The arcuate radius on the exerciser surface being the same as that of a bowling ball.
