  • Publication number: 20240074954
Abstract: The invention relates to calcium hydroxyapatite particles having been sintered at a certain temperature range and which are not treated at a temperature above this range. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an injectable composition comprising such particles and to uses thereof. Surprisingly, it was found that the particles of the invention are superior over calcium hydroxyapatite particles known in the art with respect to bio-stimulation.

  • Patent number: 11874642
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a safety control system having a processor that (1) automatically interrogates a portable data storage device, (2) determines whether a configuration profile of the safety control system matches a stored configuration profile in the portable data storage device, (3) obtains network settings of the safety control system, and (4) stores network settings into the portable data storage device. In an illustrative example, a safety control system may include a processor designed to perform operations to configure the safety control system with a configuration profile stored in the portable data storage device or download network settings of the safety control system to the portable data storage device under some predetermined conditions. By using the above method, the safety control system may be quickly configured, and network settings may be easily obtained and backed up.

  • Patent number: 11854377
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a side-mounted field-installable indication module (SMFIIM) configured to reflect a status of a manufacturing area (e.g., a status of a machine, status of a light curtain). In an illustrative example, the SMFIIM may include a light emitting module configured to emit a visual indicium corresponding to the status of the manufacturing area, and a coupling member configured to be releasably captured within a longitudinally extending channel of a housing of a light curtain. After installation, for example, the SMFIIM may be disposed on a side of and substantially parallel to the housing. The light emitting module may emit the visual indicium in an emitting plane oriented at an angle less than 90° to a plane tangential to a mounting surface of the light curtain housing. Various embodiments may advantageously provide a wide viewing angle of the light emitting module around the lighting curtain.

  • Patent number: 11847384
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to generating a wiring schema with more than one safety device sharing at least one test signal through one or more external terminal blocks when the number of terminals required by safety devices exceeds the number of available terminals of a safety controller. In an illustrative example, the method may include determining a total number of terminals A of safety devices to be connected to a safety evaluation device having a number of terminals B. If A is greater than B, the method may then include generating a wiring schema that one or more external terminal blocks may show indicia of electrical connections between an identified set of safety devices and a shared terminal of the safety evaluation device associated with that set. Various embodiments may advantageously expand a number of devices possible to be connected beyond a number of terminals.

  • Publication number: 20160030797
Abstract: A rotational-exercise-device (device) is disclosed. In some exemplary embodiments, the device may comprise: a handle-member and a rotational-member. The handle-member may be an elongate member. The handle-member may further comprise a first-handle-member and a second-handle-member. The first-handle-member may removably attach to the second-handle-member. The handle-member may include a longitudinal-axis which runs down a center-longitude of the handle-member. The rotational-member may be a substantially ovoid shape. The rotational-member may comprise a hollow cylindrical cavity passing through a longitude-center of the rotational-member. A portion of the handle-member may pass removably through the longitude-center of the rotational-member. The rotational-member may be configured to rotate about this portion.

  • Publication number: 20150165267
Abstract: A portable muscle exercise device with no moving parts that may be used from a sitting, standing, reclined, supine, and/or prone position is described and disclosed. In some exemplary embodiments, the device may comprise a resilient member. The member may comprise an upper exterior surface and a lower exterior surface disposed opposite. The member may have a five pointed star shape. The resilient property may be derived from one or more of a material of construction of the member and/or a gas filled interior volume. The member may be configured to be engaged by a first location on the user's body. The member may be configured to be engaged by the second, different, location on the user's body. When the user may exert a compression force by squeezing the first location towards the second location, the user's muscles between the first location and the second location may be exercised.

  • Patent number: 8490403
Abstract: In a gas turbine power plant, pressurized fuel gas undergoes pressure reduction and gas expansion before being provided to a gas turbine. Condensations, which can damage the turbine, can form as the fuel gas cools when the fuel gas undergoes the pressure reduction and expansion. An electric startup heater is used to superheat the fuel gas to substantially prevent the condensations from forming. The electric startup heater includes band heaters wrapped externally to a fuel gas pipe to heat the fuel gas from outside in. Compared to conventional heaters which provide superheating through internal heating elements, the electric startup heater reduces costs and provides increased safety, flexibility, operational efficiency and ability to adapt to varying fuel gas characteristics.

  • Patent number: 7837429
Abstract: A system for controlling the clearance between a turbine blade and the turbine casing that includes an impingement cooling manifold attached to a turbine casing, a temperature sensing device for determining the temperature of the turbine casing, a blower, a control system logic for determining the setting temperature of the casing, and a controller for controlling the blower, wherein the blower forces air onto the impingement cooling manifold to cool the casing towards the setting temperature and control the clearance.
