  • Publication number: 20240095237
Abstract: Identification of content gaps based on relative user-selection rates between multiple discrete content sources. A system analyzes search log activity to determine whether users that are conducting particular types of search activities are ultimately selecting and relying upon content resources from a predefined content source of interest or, alternatively, whether such users are unsatisfied with the predefined content source of interest and are instead relying upon other third-party content sources. This particular type of analysis provides valuable insights into whether content gaps exist within the predefined content source of interest.

  • Publication number: 20190039839
Abstract: An apparatus and method for guiding a glass substrate positioned in a vertical orientation into a downstream process. A pair of guide arms move with the glass substrate and constrain lateral movement of an otherwise unsupported bottom edge of the glass substrate. Sensors sense a position of the glass substrate, while a controller calculates a speed of the glass substrate in a conveyance direction and positions the guide arms.

  • Patent number: 10081566
Abstract: Methods of producing a glass sheet each comprise the step of creating a vacuum to force the entire lateral portion of the glass ribbon to engage an anvil portion of a breaking device in the elastic zone. The vacuum is provided by a plurality of pressure zones that are operated independent from one another, wherein each pressure zone is provided with a set of suction cups. In further examples, glass ribbon breaking devices each include a plurality of pressure zones that are configured to be operated independent from one another with each pressure zone being provided with set of suction cups.

  • Patent number: 5946668
Abstract: A system and method for funding a home investment trust program to provide for home mortgage payments to pay for a home throughout the mortgage period, a first trust fund and a cash-out amount payable during the mortgage period useable for college expenses, and a second trust fund payable at the end of the mortgage period for retirement, wherein funding for the trust comes substantially from income tax savings associated with deducting interest paid on a home mortgage. The invention includes determining the purchaser's tax liability and any tax refund or reduction due to the deduction attributable to interest paid on the home mortgage. The latter amount is systematically deposited into a trust fund. At a point during the mortgage period, the home maybe refinanced in a manner allowing the homeowner to "cash-out" part of the equity build-up. After refinancing, the homeowner will continue funding another trust with income tax deductions attributable to the interest paid on the home mortgage.
