Patent number: 10843614Abstract: A machine which transports and positions joints of line pipe has a trailer member having at least two ground engaging wheels and a distributor box disposed within the trailer member. The distributor box has a top, a bottom, a front and a back, where a longitudinal axis is defined between the front and the back. A shaft is rotationally supported between the front and the back, where the shaft has an axis coinciding with the longitudinal axis. A plurality of spaced-apart disks are mounted on the rotatable shaft, where each disk has a plurality of slots radially extending to a circumferential edge of the disk, where each slot is open-ended at the circumferential edge and each disk of the plurality of spaced-apart disks has a slot in axial alignment with a slot of the other spaced-apart disks. The group of the axially aligned slots is adapted to receive a joint of the line pipe.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2017Date of Patent: November 24, 2020Inventor: Gaylord Dean Hill

Publication number: 20190250814Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to processing of gestures to cause computation of measurements of a line using a touch screen. A system includes a processor, a touch screen coupled to the processor, a gesture module coupled to the processor for executing a gesturing method. The method includes determining a gesture shape and whether the gesture shape selects a first line segment by intersecting the first line segment. When the gesture shape selects a first line segment, it is then determined whether the gesture shape also selects an additional line segment different from the first line segment. When an additional line segment is not selected, the method calculates the length measurement from the beginning point of the segment to the end point of the selected first line segment. The method further displays the length measurement on a display.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2019Publication date: August 15, 2019Inventors: Joe Dean Hill, Michel Georges Stella

Patent number: 9690478Abstract: A method and a system for processing gestures to cause computation of measurements of an angle or a segment using a touch screen are disclosed. The system includes a processor, a touch screen coupled to the processor, and a gesture module coupled to the processor for executing a gesturing method. The method includes determining a gesture shape. For example, when the gesture shape is an arc or a line between two touching lines, the method calculates the measurement of the angle between the touching lines and behind the gestured line or arc. When the gesture is a line crossing a segment, the method calculates the measurement from the beginning of the segment to the end of the segment. The method further displays the calculated measurement of at least one of the angle or the segment.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2015Date of Patent: June 27, 2017Assignee: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATEDInventors: Joe Dean Hill, Michel Georges Stella

Publication number: 20170070546Abstract: Structures within a service controller portion of a collaboration system collect and store content captured by a client service module operating within each collaborator's computing device. From commands received from a collaboration director's portable computing device, the service controller selects individual collaborator computing devices from which to capture screen content at selected rates. Collaborator content is sent to the director's portable computing device to be monitored by the director. Under command from the director's portable computing device, the service controller may also send collaborator content to a public display computing device. The collaboration director may designate one or more collaborative participants as “live presenter(s).” A live presenter's screen content may be captured and publicly displayed at higher frame rates and in real time in order to simulate a white board or slide presentation.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 2, 2016Publication date: March 9, 2017Inventors: Carlos Alejandro Gonzalez Usigli, Carlos Gustavo Diaz de Leon, Sajjad Mahmood Khan, Joe Dean Hill, Matt Nicolosi, Manuel Shiosaki Gomez
