  • Patent number: 11811163
Abstract: A floating quad connector assembly is designed to hold two pairs of simplex connecters in a quad formation and to permit the two pairs of connectors to float within the assembly, thereby rendering the quad connector assembly compatible with different quad adapters having different spacings between the two middle simplex ports. Also, a segmental switch module is configured to aggregate multiple category-rated connectors in an array formation while permitting the spacings between the connectors to float, thereby rendering the switch module compatible with port arrays of different port-to-port spacings.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 11670927
Abstract: A wall-mounted enclosure assembly comprising knockouts formed through one or more enclosure walls is provided with a layer of metallic or polymeric flame-resistant material affixed to the exterior or interior surface of the one or more enclosure walls to block the knockout's perforations, which would otherwise remain open. This seals the unused knockouts and prevents hot molten materials or flames from escaping the enclosure through the knockouts' perforations in the event of a destructive equipment malfunction within the enclosure. Unused knockouts remain visible through the tape, and consequently the tape does not prevent installers from easily locating and removing selected knockouts.

  • Publication number: 20220085586
Abstract: A wall-mounted enclosure assembly utilizes insertable door mounting components that allow the enclosure door to be easily mounted to the enclosure main housing without the use of tools and in a manner that easily sets the door installation depth to match the depth of the surrounding drywall. After the enclosure main housing is mounted in the wall, insertable mounting components that serve as hinges and latches for the door are inserted into slots formed on the vertical sides of the main housing. The insertable mounting components can be inserted to a desired depth but cannot be withdrawn from the slots until a release tab is pressed. The installation depth of the hinges and latches is correctly set to match the thickness of the drywall merely by inserting the insertable mounting components until a stopping surface on the components abuts the drywall.

  • Patent number: 11018492
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques and configurations for a communications network with data and power provision over communication channels. In some embodiments, the network may comprise a network control apparatus having a plurality of communication channels, to connect one or more devices with the network, wherein the network control apparatus is to provide data communications between a device of one or more devices and the network via a communication channel, and to provide power to the device via the communication channel. The network may further comprise a power management block coupled with the network control apparatus, to control the provision of power to the device of the one or more devices, which may include determining whether the communication channel carries a power level in excess of a threshold associated with the communication channel.

  • Patent number: 10483689
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a releasable connection, which may include a first housing to couple to a first cable. The housing may include a mating surface to couple with a mating surface of a second housing that may couple to a second cable. The transmission components of the first cable may extend to the mating surface, to provide connection with respective transmission components of the second cable in response to a mating of the first and second mating surfaces. The connection may further include a retention mechanism, which may include a magnet component disposed on or in proximity to the mating surface, to interact with a corresponding magnet component of the second housing. A magnetic force produced in response to the interaction may provide the releasable coupling of the first and second cables. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
