  • Publication number: 20210368789
Abstract: A stimulant composition to stimulate production of one or more cannabinoids by a plant producing such cannabinoids includes an optional diluent, and a lipid portion or lipid composition which includes free or saponified fatty acids, free fatty alcohols, wax esters, hydrocarbons, and at least one of a phospholipid and a terpene. The free fatty alcohols make up at least 5% by mass of the lipid portion or lipid composition. The phospholipid, when present, makes up at least 0.4% of the lipid portion or lipid composition. The terpene, when present, makes up at least 0.2% by mass of the lipid portion or lipid composition. The disclosure extends to a method of stimulating production of at least one cannabinoid in a plant producing the cannabinoid to promote increased yield of the cannabinoid.

  • Patent number: 10271482
Abstract: In combination: a) a cutting blade assembly having a frame and a first cutting blade member with a first cutting edge portion configured to cause relative movement between components on the cutting blade assembly whereby the at least first cutting edge portion effects severance of an object; and b) a protective sheath. The protective sheath can be moved relative to the cutting blade assembly between: a) a first separated position; and b) an assembled position. The protective sheath frictionally engages the cutting blade assembly to thereby be maintained in the assembled position. The protective sheath has at least one component that projects away from the cutting blade assembly and has oppositely facing surfaces that can be grasped between two fingers on a user's one hand to facilitate repositioning of the protective sheath.

  • Publication number: 20070093701
Abstract: A method of analyzing a patient's tissue oxygenation capabilities includes measuring a tissue chromophore whose light absorption properties depend on the oxygenation state of the tissue and generating data representative of tissue oxygenation before, during and after a controlled ischemia event. From this data characterizing data, including ischemia onset slope, ischemia onset response time, ischemia recovery slope, ischemia recovery response time or hyperemia is automatically determined. This characterizing data is related to corresponding characterizing data determined from a control population. The relationship may be displayed on a graphical display.

  • Publication number: 20050277818
Abstract: A method and system for producing improved more accurate measurements of oxyhemoglobin levels in tissue when measured using near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). Light sources and processing methods are selected to such that the effects of a confounding chromophore in the tissue under study are minimized.

  • Patent number: 6357927
Abstract: An assembly to effect adjustments to the end play, or preloading, of a bearing set. The adjusting assembly utilizes a threaded bearing cup body and a correspondingly threaded adjusting ring. The bearing cup body abuts the outer race of the bearing and the adjusting ring is threaded onto the bearing cup body and abuts a fixed or stationary housing surface. The adjusting ring is rotated to adjust bearing preload and provide proper spacing. The bearing cap is then placed to lock the bearing adjusting assembly in place.

  • Patent number: 5827934
Abstract: This invention relates to a modified diphtheria toxin (DT) and method of preparing the same in which two carboxy-terminal truncated forms of DT are prepared by specific chemical proteolysis generating two new proteins HA51DT and HA48DT which can be chemically linked to a cell specific binding moiety to produce potent cytotoxins. This invention further relates to carboxy terminal peptides formed in accordance with said proteolysis generating three peptides HA11DT, HA7DT and HA3DT.
