Abstract: A framing tool for accurately and easily supporting framing materials at a right angle with respect to each other so that they may be fastened together. The framing tool generally includes a base portion having an upper surface which includes a pair of slots oriented at a right angle with respect to each other. The first slot is defined by a first outer wall and first inner wall extending upwardly from the upper surface of the base portion adjacent to a first side edge thereof. The second slot is defined by a second outer wall and second inner wall extending upwardly from the upper surface of the base portion adjacent to a second side edge thereof. The two slots of the present invention are adapted to receive a pair of pieces of lumber to be fastened together at a right angle.
