    Abstract: A case stores an earphone set proximate to a digital media device (DMD). The case includes a storage compartment for storing the earphone set proximate a rear side of the DMD. The earphone set may be wound onto a retaining clip that is formed to receive ear-pieces of the earphone set and has a pair of notches, disposed on opposite edges of the clip, about which the two wires are wound. A distance between inner segments of the notches is a function of the length of the wires such that an inline control panel and a junction splitter of the earphone set are positioned within a periphery of the retaining clip. The earpieces and a jack plug of the earphone set may be retained by the clip to facilitate retention of the cable and wires.
