Patent number: 9770775Abstract: The invention described herein generally pertains to systems and methods related to repeatable and accurate setting of welding torch lead and lag positions, particularly with orbital welding systems. Specifically, a torch is coupled with a lead-lag coupler having a stop lug. A stop set with a stop pin is rotated to a desired position of lead or lag and secured. The lead-lag coupler, and torch which rotates therewith, are then unsecured and rotated until the stop lug contacts the stop pin. In this position, the torch is maintained at the desired angle. The stop pin remains in place throughout operation(s) to permit quick, accurate return to the desired angle if the torch is temporarily moved out of position.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2014Date of Patent: September 26, 2017Assignee: LINCOLN GLOBAL, INC.Inventor: Richard Dean Traver

Patent number: 9636785Abstract: The invention described herein generally pertains to locking mechanisms for levers operable to mount a tractor unit to a guide track and to engage a drive gear of the tractor unit to a track gear of the guide track. The levers for mounting the tractor unit and/or to engage the drive gear are lockable in a closed position. The closed position relates to a state of the levers when the tractor unit is mounted on the guide track or when the drive gear is engaged with the track gear. The levers can be easily operable to mount/dismount or engage/disengage, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2014Date of Patent: May 2, 2017Assignee: LINCOLN GLOBAL, INC.Inventors: Richard Dean Traver, Jamil Snead

Publication number: 20040070238Abstract: An ergonomic shower chair with built in bidet, comprising an ergonomic seat portion, an ergonomic back portion with lumbar support, and a bidet portion. Water enters the bidet portion by holding a hand-held showerhead against the main opening of the bidet portion, and is sprayed towards the user's perineal area through bidet nozzles positioned within holes along a longitudinal groove in the seat portion. Because these holes have inner diameters that are wider than the outer diameters of the bidet nozzles, water is drained away through the interstices between the hole walls and the bidet nozzles. The seat portion includes additional drainage holes for fast drainage.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2003Publication date: April 15, 2004Applicant: Mo-Bility Inc.Inventors: Scott Andrew Moser, George Albert Mansfield, Richard Dean Traver

Patent number: 6062325Abstract: A rotary drag-type drill bit, for drilling holes in subsurface formations, comprises a bit body having a leading face and a gauge region, a number of blades formed on the leading face of the bit and extending outwardly away from the axis of the bit so as to define between the blades fluid channels leading towards junk slots in the gauge region. Cutting elements are mounted along each blade, and nozzles in the bit body supply drilling fluid to the leading face of the bit for cleaning and cooling the cutting elements. At least some of said blades each have a leading edge which is non-linear, or convexly or concavely curved, as viewed axially of the bit, as it extends outwardly away from the axis of the bit. Blades of different shapes may be located alternately around the axis of the bit. The junk slots at the gauge region, and the kickers between which they are formed, may vary in width around the periphery of the bit, and may be inclined to the axis of the bit.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 1998Date of Patent: May 16, 2000Assignee: Camco International (UK) LimitedInventors: Malcolm Roy Taylor, Steven Taylor, Dean Travers Watson
