  • Publication number: 20120187128
Abstract: A container is disclosed that has a housing and a lid. The lid has a planar portion and a latch that is freely movable parallel to the planar portion of the lid. The latch has a retention feature and a first reference surface that is perpendicular to the planar portion of the lid. There is a latch mechanism coupled to the housing that has an engagement element configured to engage the retention feature of the latch and a first alignment feature having a first alignment surface. The first alignment feature is configured to laterally displace the latch in a first direction such that the first reference surface aligns with the first alignment surface when the lid is brought together with the housing with the fastener laterally displaced away from the engagement element in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction.

Abstract: A container is described. The container includes a receptacle, lid, and fastener. The receptacle includes a latch. The lid is coupled to the receptacle and moves between an open and a closed position. The fastener is coupled to the lid and fastens the lid to the receptacle. The fastener includes first, second, third, and fourth portions. The first portion is coupled to the lid and extends along a first axis that is perpendicular to a plane of the lid when the lid is in the closed position. The second portion is coupled to the first portion and extends along a second axis that is perpendicular to the first axis. The third portion is coupled to the second portion and extends along an axis that is parallel to the first axis. • Publication number: 20120187807
Abstract: A drawer assembly is disclosed that includes a removable container ad a receiving tray. The container has a housing having at least one shaped surface and at least one horizontal alignment element coupled to and projecting from the housing. The receiving tray has a base having a redirection feature and at least one horizontal alignment hole in the base that is configured to accept the horizontal alignment element. The container and receiving tray are configured such that downward motion of the container with the shaped surface of the housing in contact with the redirection feature of the base induces a lateral motion of the container according to the engagement of the shaped surface and the redirection feature that causes the horizontal alignment element to slide into the horizontal alignment hole.

  • Publication number: 20120004772
Abstract: A cartridge for use in a dispensing system is disclosed. The cartridge includes a body having an exterior and a plurality of bins. A plurality of lids are movably attached to the body and are configured to cover a bin. A release mechanism is movable along an axis. A plurality of latches are movably attached to the body. Each latch is configured to secure the respective lid when in a first position and to release the respective lid when in a second position. The release mechanism will not cause a latch to move to the second position when the release mechanism is moving along the axis in a first direction. The release mechanism will cause a single latch to move to the second position while leaving the remaining latches in the first position when the release mechanism is moving along the axis in a second direction.

  • Publication number: 20090224638
Abstract: A medication cabinet that includes at least one drawer, a drive mechanism, and a drawer latching mechanism, is disclosed. The drawer includes a slider, and a container that includes a receptacle and a lid that moves between an open position and a closed position. The container also includes a fastener to fasten the lid to the receptacle. The slider maintains the lid in the closed position when at least a portion of the wall is coupled with the fastener, and actuates the lid from the closed position to the open position when the fastener passes through an opening in the wall. The drive mechanism controls longitudinal movement of the slider, and is mounted to the chassis, allowing the drawer to be free of electrical connections with the chassis. When the drive mechanism is not used to move the lid into the open position, longitudinal movement of the slider is inhibited.

  • Publication number: 20090189041
Abstract: A tilt control for a tiltable mount and a mount including a tilt control are provided. The mount has first and second brackets mounted for rotation or tilting, such as about a shaft. The second bracket might be a monitor mount tiltable relative to an arm bracket. The tilt control includes a friction brake and an over-running clutch configured to disengage the friction brake to permit upward rotation or tilting, but engage the friction brake for controlling the downward rotation or tilting. The friction brake is engaged by the over-running clutch to control downward tilting. The friction brake generates a counter-acting force to retain a mounted device such as a video monitor and/or keyboard in fixed position against drooping, but to permit downward tilting upon application by a user of an adjustment force.

  • Publication number: 20090138939
Abstract: A method of security gateway policy definition to quickly infer a new policy based on event data extracted and analyzed using business logic and workflow from a gateway event log or behavior log. The method includes reading the components of a log record, translating the components into acceptable policy attributes, creating a new policy based on those attributes, and presenting the new policy to a system administrator for editing and approval.

  • Publication number: 20090133110
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for creating a globally unique identity for a user or user-container by performing an iterative join where each participating back-end data source. The systems and methods include an ID-Unify (IDU) that performs identity virtualization and creates or generates a globally unique identifier for a user in operational environments in which there is a pre-existing conflict caused by the existence of different identities for a user in different authentication data sources.

  • Patent number: 6622299
Abstract: A method, apparatus and program product provides an indication to a programmer of the efficiency of a created program and comprises monitoring of insertion and deletion of one or more functions within the program and determining a performance statistic for the function which is indicative of the efficiency of the function. A humanly perceptible output is provided to the programmer which is reflective of the performance statistic of the function to provide an indication to the programmer related to the efficiency of the created program.

  • Patent number: 6532444
Abstract: A system and method to interact with networked objects, via a computer using utterances, speech processing and natural language processing. A Data Definition File relates networked objects and a speech processor. The Data Definition File encompasses a memory structure relating the networked objects, including grammar files and a natural language processor. The speech processor searches a first grammar file for a matching phrase for the utterance, and to search a second grammar file for the matching phrase if the matching phrase is not found in the first grammar file. The system also includes a natural language processor to search a database for a matching entry for the matching phrase; and an application interface to perform an action associated with the matching entry if the matching entry is found in the database. The system utilizes context-specific grammars, thereby enhancing speech recognition and natural language processing efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6213315
Abstract: The disclosed bulk bag storage rack facilitates both storage and unloading of a bulk bag and thereby eliminates the standard handling techniques heretofore required in transferring a bulk bag from a conventional rack to the bag unloader. The storage rack includes a bag suspension frame to which the bulk bag is attached. A base is shiftably intercoupled with the frame so as to permit vertical shifting between vertically expanded and contracted conditions. During storage, the rack is vertically contracted and the bag attached to the frame rests on the base, whereby the frame provides essentially no support to the bag. When it is desired to unload the bag, the frame is maintained at a desired height and the base is allowed to shift downwardly relative the frame. This eliminates the support provided by the base and the bag is consequently suspended from the frame. An unloading station includes a stand to support the frame at the desired height and a stop for limiting downward movement of the base.
