  • Publication number: 20210078539
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and apparatus that may collect data from at a vehicle. Data may be collected by connecting to a port of an on board diagnostic bus at the vehicle or this data may be received via a wireless communication interface. Collected data may be stored at a database and this data may be analyzed to identify whether a person at a vehicle is authorized to access or drive the vehicle. This collected data may also be analyzed to identify faults that may occur at a vehicle and recommendations to responding those faults may be provided to a driver of the vehicle via a user interface such as a speaker or display at the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20210082207
Abstract: Methods and apparatus consistent with the present disclosure may collect and organize vehicle data. This data may be associated with one or more accessories operational at the vehicle. Each of the accessories may be a factory installed accessory, be an after market accessory added to the vehicle, or combination thereof. Computing devices may be communicatively coupled to a diagnostic or data collection system of a vehicle. These computing devices may also be communicatively coupled to servers that store operational information at a database or may communicate with websites of accessory manufactures or service providers. Program applications operational on a computing device may be downloaded from a server such that functionality of an automated vehicle assistant may be upgraded. A vehicle assistant may monitor parameters of a vehicle and identify that a vehicle needs to be serviced when current vehicle operating conditions do not correspond to required operational operating conditions.

  • Publication number: 20210081863
Abstract: An intelligent vehicle assistant consistent with the present disclosure may collect user preferences, user data, and data associated with a vehicle when providing information or instructions to a person in the vehicle by sending messages to a vehicle computer. The vehicle assistant may acquire preferences or data from the vehicle via a wired diagnostic port or via a wireless communication interface. Queries from a person may be received by the vehicle computer and may be sent to the intelligent vehicle assistant that interprets those commands and that evaluates contextual information to identify and send responses to the queries that may be provided to the person via an audio interface or via a display. These query responses may be based on a current context of the vehicle and past behaviors of the person.

  • Publication number: 20090273533
Abstract: A high gain, phased array antenna includes a conducting sheet having a number of one or more slots defined therein. For each slot, an electrical microstrip feed line is electronically coupled with a corresponding slot to form a magnetically-coupled LC resonance element. A main feed line couples with the one or more microstrip feed lines. A specific azimuth pattern, antenna frequency, and/or beam direction is/are selectable in accordance with specific structural or electrical characteristics of the antenna.

  • Publication number: 20010010716
Abstract: A premises gateway is provided with respect to a subscriber's premises and a plurality of different transmission media for connecting to network devices and host systems on a network. The premises gateway has interchangeable network interface cards and cards for communicating with different nodes on a subscriber's premises using different transmission media and protocols. The nodes are provided with premises network interfaces which operate in conjunction with the premises gateway to allow, for example, devices connected to the same telephone line, but to different telephone wall jacks, to be addressed separately. The premises gateway can communicate analog signals and broadband signals on a twisted pair to the same node. The premises gateway can also be provided at a central office to operate as an Internet protocol gateway.

  • Patent number: 5737400
Abstract: A no-ring access telecommunications system is connected to a subscriber's telephone line at the demarcation point between the public switched telephone network and the telephone line or at the utility meter site on the subscriber's premises, or at a central office. The telecommunications system comprises a processor, and a normally open switch which is selectively closed by the processor to connect the telephone line to another line servicing subscriber telecommunications equipment connected in parallel thereto. The telecommunications system is programmable to suppress the first power ring signal of an incoming call on the telephone line from a remote host system. The ring signal is analyzed for Caller ID, distinctive ringing or other special tone. If a valid Caller ID, distinctive ring signal or other special tone is provided, the switch is closed. The Caller ID is regenerated on the line servicing the subscriber telecommunications equipment.
