Abstract: A method and a system are provided for authenticating secure payment card transactions and verifying and validating payment card user identities. The method includes determining a numeric or alphanumeric code on a vehicle registration plate of a vehicle (e.g., a driverless vehicle or a drone) bearing a processing device that is approaching a payment area (e.g., a toll road, a refueling station, or a retail store). A wireless communication circuit (e.g., Near Field Communication (NFC) circuit) is communicatively coupled to the processing device.

Abstract: A system and method for authenticating a candidate user accessing a host computing device as an authentic user is provided. The host computing device is in communication with an authenticating computing device. The method includes receiving, by the authenticating computing device, a request to authenticate the candidate user as an authentic user. The authentication request includes a user identifier. The method also includes retrieving, by the authenticating computing device, transaction data including payment transactions performed by the authentic user based on the user identifier. The method also includes generating, by the authenticating computing device, a challenge question and a correct answer based on the transaction data associated with the authentic user, and transmitting the challenge question for display on a candidate user computing device used by the candidate user.

Abstract: Systems and methods of generating a marketing target list based on information in a collection of payment card transaction data. An iterative querying process is configured to identify payment card holders who have recently experienced a job change by recognizing certain patterns in payment card transaction data that are correlated with changes of employment. Various patterns may be identified the payment card transaction data as job change indicators to facilitate the compilation of a timely and reliable list of payment card holders who are very likely to have experienced a recent change of employment.

Abstract: A system and a method of controlling a ventilation or HVAC system that is configured to provide an air stream having a comfortable contact velocity to an occupant seated in a vehicle cabin. The system includes a sensor to determine the distance from a discharge nozzle to the vehicle occupant and a controller to control the exit velocity and/or an effective diameter of the nozzle. The sensor may use ultrasonic, infrared, LIDAR, or RADAR technology to determine distance. The system may determine the distance from the nozzle to the occupant based on a seat location determined by a seat location sensor. The seat location sensor may be common to an inflatable restraint (air bag) system.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for validating reviews, by comparing transaction data for consumers to details included in the reviews. Initially, a request is received to validate a review provided by an individual via a review entity. The review relates to at least one of a product, a service, and a merchant. Payment accounts are then identified for various consumers that match a profile of the individual providing the review, and transaction data in the identified payment accounts are compared to details included in the review (e.g., details of at least one of a product, a service, and a merchant associated with the review, etc.). A validity indicator for the review can then be issued, based on the comparison.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for evaluating real estate assets is implemented by a real estate evaluation computing device in communication with a memory. The method includes receiving a set of property factors, receiving a set of income factors, receiving a previous real estate rating for the real estate asset, receiving a set of merchant data associated with the merchant, the set of merchant data including a set of transaction data, determining a merchant revenue forecast based at least in part on the set of merchant data, determining a present real estate rating, determining that a difference between the present real estate rating and the previous real estate rating exceeds a rating threshold indicating a possible change in value of the real estate asset, and transmitting an alert to a user device indicating the possible change in value of the real estate asset.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for detecting real estate vacancies using satellite imagery is described. The method is implemented using a computing device in communication with a memory. The method includes receiving, by the computing device, a first location identifier that identifies a first real property location. The method additionally includes retrieving, by the computing device, a first satellite image of the first real property location. Additionally, the method includes retrieving, by the computing device, a second satellite image of the first real property location. The method additionally includes generating, by the computing device, a compound image of the first real property location by overlaying the second satellite image over the first satellite image. Additionally, the method includes providing the compound image to a user interface, wherein the compound image provides an indication of one or more vacant portions of the first real property location.

The at least one processor is configured to receive a divestiture request message including a financial institution identifier, receive asset data for the identified financial institution, the asset data including data associated with a plurality of assets of the identified financial institution, wherein each asset has an asset value and a risk weight representing a potential change in the asset value over time, determine a candidate divestiture for the identified financial institution at least in part based on the asset value and the risk weight for each asset of the plurality of assets, and provide a divestiture report to the identified financial institution, wherein the divestiture report includes the candidate divestiture for the identified financial institution.

The method includes receiving, by one or more processors, a real property location, defining a geographic region that includes the real property location, receiving, by the one or more processors, interrogation signal data for a group of mobile devices included within the plurality of mobile devices, determining a location of each of the mobile devices included within the group of mobile devices over the selected period of time based on the received interrogation signal data, and estimating visitor traffic for the real property location over the selected period of time based on the location of each of the mobile devices included within the group of mobile devices.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for valuing a merchant based on payment card transactions is provided. The method uses a merchant valuation computing device in communication with a memory. The method includes receiving a valuation request message including a merchant identifier and a report range, receiving a plurality of payment card transactions initiated by cardholders with a merchant associated with the merchant identifier where the plurality of payment card transactions occurred during the report range, determining one or more valuation criteria for the merchant based on the plurality of payment card transactions, and generating a valuation report for the merchant based on the one or more valuation criteria, and transmitting the valuation report.

Abstract: Access is obtained to a database of bill presentment data in an electronic bill presentment system connecting a plurality of customers with a plurality of billers. At least some of the billers are payment card issuers. At least one presentment record for at least one of the customers is extracted from the database of bill presentment data. Based on the at least one presentment record for the at least one of the customers, at least one of credit worthiness of the at least one of the customers and payment history of the at least one of the customers is determined.

Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system includes a blower, a fresh-air valve, a bypass duct, and a bypass valve. The blower is configured to urge air to flow from an inlet to an outlet of the blower. The fresh-air valve is operable to provide a mixture of air drawn from an outside-air duct and a recirculated-air duct to the inlet. The fresh-air valve is operable to a recirculate position where the outside-air duct is substantially blocked from communicating with the inlet. The bypass duct is configured to couple the outlet to the outside-air duct. The bypass valve is located in the bypass duct and is operable to a closed position and an open position. The cabin is ventilated when the fresh-air valve is in the recirculate position, the bypass valve is in the open position, and the blower is operated to blow air out of the outside-air duct.

Abstract: A data analyzer associated with an entity determines patterns and/or sequences in user data. The analyzer may provide businesses with feedback on spatiotemporal patterns in user habits. In certain embodiments, the analyzer determines the frequency of a sequence of purchases made at a first entity immediately followed by purchases made at a second entity. In another embodiment, the analyzer determines trends in user purchases made during the weekday versus those that are made during the weekend. The results of the analysis may be used in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to merchant/consumer prospecting, and targeted promotions.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for consolidating a shipment of purchased products to a consumer. A consumer is initially registered to a consolidation account for consolidated shipping of the products. The consolidation account typically includes at least one predefined shipping criteria, used to determine when to ship the consolidated products. Upon purchasing various products from one or more merchants, the products are associated, at a computing device, with the consumer's consolidation account and are routed to a hold location. Then, at the hold location, the products are pooled together and, when the at least one predefined shipping criteria is achieved, the products are routed, as a single shipment, to the consumer.

Abstract: A method for making a timely and targeted offer by an entity to an audience of potential acceptors is provided. The method involves retrieving information including purchasing and payment activity information attributable to the audience having a transaction, date and time identifier; retrieving information including website browsing information attributable to the audience having a website, date and time identifier for one or more websites visited by the audience; correlating the information to generate one or more predictive behavioral models; identifying time and date patterns associated with activities and characteristics attributable to the audience; and conveying to the entity the time and date patterns associated with the activities and characteristics attributable to the audience, to enable the entity to make a timely and targeted offer to the audience. A system for making a timely and targeted offer by an entity to an audience of potential acceptors is also provided.

Abstract: Systems and methods for a transmitting data to and receiving data from a repository are provided. For instance, presenting a transmission to a customer during a transaction at a system which may include an optimization computer, a repository database which may store one or more transmissions and information regarding a particular audience to which the respective transmissions should be presented and a computer system configured to allow transmissions to be uploaded to the repository database are provided. The transmission may be presented at a point of transaction wherein the transaction is being conducted and the transaction data from the transaction being conducted at the point of transaction may be determined at the point of transaction and may be transmitted to the optimization computer.
