In an aspect, the method includes circulating air from the cargo box (18) through an evaporator (30) of the refrigerant unit (20) and back to the cargo box (18); and operating the refrigerant unit (20) in alternating cycles of first heating the circulating air and then cooling the circulating air.

The control circuit may be configured to maintain the controller in low power mode when there are no detected fault conditions, and to enable power to the controller when there is a detected fault condition.

The graphical user interface may also include programmable soft keys that may take users directly to frequently viewed menu options, functions and data items without the necessity of navigating through the levels of the menu structure.
