    Abstract: A refrigerant purging and storage system is provided operative, responsive to the operating pressure of refrigerant gas within the suction line dropping to a predetermined low pressure below the range of normal operating pressure of that suction line, to pump refrigerant gas from a closed-loop refrigerant circuit into a closed storage vessel, for a predetermined time period, only, and to prevent backflow of refrigerant gas from said storage vessel into said circuit.
