  • Publication number: 20220143092
Abstract: Disclosed herein are novel compositions and methods for stimulation of and the production or expansion of natural killer (NK) cells. Numbers of NK cells can be increased following contact with exosomes modified with one or more stimulatory peptides. Methods and compositions for the production of exosomes, wherein the exosomes comprises stimulatory peptides are also described. Also described are methods of treating cancer using the disclosed NK-stimulating exosomes or NK cells stimulated by the disclosed methods.

  • Publication number: 20220082565
Abstract: Disclosed is a two-staged, generalized cancer screening concept modeled closely after a suppression test. The test is blood based, and screens for elevated levels of Fibroblast Growth Factor 19 (FGF19), a cancer biomarker expressed across a majority of cancers, via standard enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Unlike other biomarker-based blood tests that rely on a single-blood draw, the F-CME test validates cancer with a follow-up test using oral cholestyramine as the “suppression” drug.

  • Publication number: 20160299149
Abstract: Assays are described which measure polyamine transport activity and markers associated with polyamine transport and metabolism. These data are then used for the selection of treatments using therapies which target polyamine transport and polyamine metabolism. The assay includes a substrate to which a protein-containing cell sample can bind, a solution comprising a first antibody specific against ATP13A3, wherein the first antibody is configured to bind to ATP13A3 protein on the substrate, a solution comprising a second antibody specific against the first antibody, the second antibody comprising an enzyme linked thereto, wherein the second antibody is configured to bind to the first antibody.
