  • Patent number: 7494035
Abstract: A pneumatic compressor capable of supplying compressed gas to a pneumatic tool. The compressor can be powered alternatively by either a battery or an AC power source. The compressor comprises a permanent magnet DC electric motor and circuitry for converting the AC power source to DC power. The compressor includes a receptacle for accommodating one or more of a plurality of batteries and includes circuitry for using batteries having different voltages. The AC power source may also be used to charge a battery connected to the compressor.

  • Patent number: 5860716
Abstract: A pair of support assemblies for an upper rack of a washer. Each of the support assemblies includes an arm, a bracket, a carriage, and a lever. The arms each have a plurality of vertical teeth. The carriages are movably disposed within the tracks. The carriages are respectively joined to the arms and each have a pair of wheels rotatably mounted thereto. The brackets are respectively attached to opposing side structures of the upper rack. The brackets each define a passage through which one of the arms extends. The brackets are movable along the arms so as to permit the upper rack to be movable between a plurality of vertical positions. A pair of levers are respectively joined to the brackets and each have a detent. The detents are engaged with the arms so as to lock the brackets to the arms at a first one of the vertical positions.

  • Patent number: 5557825
Abstract: A door retainer mechanism on a padmounted switchgear cabinet includes a pair of elongated links coupled between an access door and housing of the cabinet. The links are pivotally connected respectively to the access door and housing and also pivotally connected to one another. The links are pivotable relative to each other between folded and unfolded conditions with respect to one another as the access door is moved between closed and opened positions relative to the cabinet housing. The links are operable automatically to latch with one another in the unfolded condition upon the access door reaching the opened position after being moved by a worker from the closed position relative to the cabinet housing. The links of the door retainer mechanism, once they have reached the unfolded condition and become latched with one another, function to retain the access door in the opened position and prevent the access door from returning to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 5475570
Abstract: A fuse mounting bracket assembly for air-insulated, live front padmounted switchgear is provided that in a first configuration permits only one type of fuse to be selectively mounted in the bracket assembly and in a second configuration allows only a second different type of fuse to be selectively mounted in the bracket assembly. The bracket assembly includes a main frame having an end wall and two side walls with slots being provided in the side walls for pivotally receiving opposed, outwardly extending mounting protuberances on the selected one type of fuse. A pair of adapters may be selectively mounted on the frame assembly in blocking relationship to the slots and which present components that extend inwardly toward one another from respective side walls for engagement with a mounting hook on a second type of fuse, thus allowing the fuse mounting bracket assembly to be selectively configured for either of the two types of fuses with minimum overall parts requirements.

  • Patent number: 5457292
Abstract: A load interrupter device is provided for live front padmounted high voltage switchgear unit wherein circuit interruption is independent of the speed at which a lineman opens the switch of the switchgear. The interrupter includes an insulating body having a fixed terminal and a moveable terminal spaced therefrom which forms a part of manually operable switch structure. A conductive element within the body connected to the moveable terminal normally engages the fixed terminal. A pair of moveable conductive members are also provided in the body, with one of the conductive members normally engaging a contact electrically connected to the first terminal, while the second member is joined to the second terminal for movement therewith.

  • Patent number: 5254814
Abstract: A motor operator connecting member for padmount switchgear is provided which includes a connector and a key shiftably mounted thereon. The motor operator connecting member is adapted for selectively operatively coupling or decoupling a linear actuator and a shaft operatively connected to the switch blade of the switchgear for moving the switch blade in and out of contact with the switch contacts. The key is manually manipulable between a first position coupling the connecting member and the shaft and a second position effectively decoupling the connecting member from the shaft whereby the shaft and connecting member are free to pivot relative to one another.
