  • Publication number: 20160040868
Abstract: A lighted headband includes an upper plate and side temples pivotally attached thereto. The plate is made of a transparent or translucent material capable of functioning as a wave guide for visible light. A plurality of indentations is formed in the upper surface of said plate and extend partially through the thickness of said plate. The bottom surface of the plate includes recesses for holding a plurality of LED's. The upper surface of the plate and the side walls of the indentations are covered with an opaque material that prevents light from passing through the upper surface of the plate except in the areas of the indentations.

  • Patent number: 7156106
Abstract: This invention discloses an inexpensive, foldable, decorative hair band, which can be worn like sunglasses, pushed up above the wearer's forehead, comprising two sunglasses temple earpieces attached by folding sunglasses hinges to the opposite ends of a slightly outwardly bowed bridging strip section, that fits across the wearer's forehead, and a detachable decorative plate, instead of lenses, which fits onto and over this bridging strip, and which has a design on its outer surface. This decorative plate section can be easily connected and disconnected, from the bridging strip, so that the decorative plate can be replaced with another, having a different decorative design, as the wearer desires.

  • Publication number: 20050194019
Abstract: This invention discloses an inexpensive foldable decorative hair band, which can be worn like sunglasses, pushed up above the forehead, comprising two sunglasses temple earpieces attached by folding sunglasses hinges to the opposite ends of a slightly outwardly bowed bridging strip section that fits across the wearer's forehead, and a decorative plate, which fits onto and over this bridging strip, and which has a design on its outer surface. The bridging strip section is provided with an indented channel on each of its lateral spanning edges, giving it the appearance of a flattened train rail. The decorative plate is formed into partly open sleeve channel by having its parallel lateral edge sections bent under its bottom surface, thus having the cross section of a flattened letter ā€œCā€. These inward directed edges engage the channels on the bridging strip when the decorative plate is slid over this bridging strip forming a snug connection between these two sections.
