  • Patent number: 10843718
Abstract: The construction industry ranks among the largest and most dangerous industries in the world. To promote worker safety, government regulations require use of fall protection equipment, such as railings, many of which are expensive, wasteful, and/or time consuming to use. Accordingly, the present inventor devised some alternatives. One exemplary system incorporates a dual post base plate configured for attachment to a concrete floor via a single concrete anchor bolt, instead of the multiple bolts used conventionally, thereby reducing assembly time and cost. Another embodiment includes a rolling cart assembly which stores the rails in a side-by-side vertical arrangement and the base plates in an interleaved sequence, promoting easy access during installation and inventory control during disassembly and storage. Additionally, some embodiments include four stacking posts that extend upward from the cart, enabling multiple carts to be stacked vertical on atop the other to save space on construction sites.

  • Publication number: 20190298017
Abstract: A container includes a body with a parallelepiped-shaped interior, a closed bottom, and an open top defining a periphery. A flaccid hood is attached to the periphery and can be pulled out of the interior and pushed into the interior. The hood defines a top opening through which items can be placed into the interior, and a drawstring can be cinched to close the top opening. The body can include an inside liner and an outer shell, with the inside liner being made of thermally insulative material. Corner pocket assemblies can be attached to the body at each interior corner of the interior and can be moved to be either flush against the interior walls of the body or extended to form parallelepiped-shaped pockets with the adjoining walls of the body.

  • Patent number: 8576693
Abstract: Systems and methods for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing are provided. In one embodiment, a multi-carrier modem comprises: a transmitter configured to modulate symbols onto at least one of a plurality of the spectrally overlapping carrier signals; a processor coupled to the transmitter, wherein the processor outputs data for transmission by the transmitter, wherein the processor applies an inverse Fourier transform to the data transmitted by the transmitter; the processor modulating a first carrier of the plurality of spectrally overlapping carrier signals based on a first modulation scheme while modulating a second carrier of the plurality of spectrally overlapping carrier signals based on a second modulation scheme.

  • Patent number: 8459489
Abstract: An organizer container includes a fabric body movable into an expanded configuration, wherein the body defines a bottom and above the bottom, a parallelepiped-shaped enclosure divided into three compartments by first and second parallelepiped-shaped divider panels spaced from each other and perpendicularly oriented relative to the bottom. The container also can be moved into a first partially expanded configuration wherein only two compartments are established, with the first divider panel being held substantially flush against a first end wall of the body by a first holding mechanism. The second divider panel likewise may be moved flush against the second end wall and both divider panels can be moved together to entirely collapse the container. A stiffener can be moved within the enclosure to be sandwiched lengthwise between a divider panel and an end wall and/or between two divider panels.
