Publication number: 20180158136Abstract: In example embodiments, a system and method for providing interactive advertisement is provided. In some embodiments, a component causes a video program having an interactive advertisement to be displayed to a user on a display screen. The interactive advertisement includes an enhanced content activator. In response to activation of the enhanced content activator by the user, enhanced advertisement information including at least one trigger is provisioned. The enhanced advertisement information is then caused to be displayed with the video program and the interactive advertisement. A selection by the user of the at least one trigger associated with the enhanced advertisement information is monitored. In response to selection of the at least one trigger, access to further content associated with the enhanced content information is provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2017Publication date: June 7, 2018Inventors: Thomas Huber, Thomas Lemmons, Ian Zenoni, Debra Hensgen

Publication number: 20180150620Abstract: Systems and methods for managing provisioning of keys prior to a key rotation are provided. A license server generates a license that is associated with a renewal time. The renewal time is a time that is prior to a key rotation time, and triggers a receiver device to send a renewal request prior to the key rotation time. The renewal time may be a randomized time prior to the key rotation time that differs for different receiver devices. The license is transmitted to the receiver device. The license server then receives a renewal request from the receiver device that is triggered at the renewal time. The license server generates a next license that comprises a next key, whereby the next key is a decryption key for decrypting the encrypted signal after the key rotation time. The next license is transmitted to the receiver device prior to the key rotation time.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2016Publication date: May 31, 2018Inventors: Debra Hensgen, Charles Stevens

Publication number: 20170339226Abstract: A media server machine may be configured to provide media content within a datastream. This datastream may be provided to a media device that is configured to present the media content on a display. Also, this datastream may contemporaneously contain an “app-sync indicator” for the media content. The app-sync indicator is a data structure that signals the media device to launch an application on a companion device. By providing the app-sync indicator contemporaneously with the media content in the datastream, the launching of the application on the companion device may be synchronized with the media content. The app-sync indicator may specify the application to be launched. Also, the app-sync indicator may specify supplemental content to be presented by the launched application on the companion device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2017Publication date: November 23, 2017Inventors: Debra Hensgen, Ludovic Pierre, Martin Gibson, Nandini Iyer, Jean-Rene Menand, Sebastian Rapport

Publication number: 20170295405Abstract: Methods of presenting video and audio perspectives of audio/video content are presented. In an example embodiment, audio/video content having a plurality of video perspectives and a plurality of audio perspectives of an event is received. Responsive to a first command from a media application configured to allow a user to select among the plurality of video perspectives, a selected first video perspective of the event is provided for presentation. Responsive to a second command from the media application that is also configured to allow a user to select among the plurality of audio perspectives, a selected first audio perspective of the event is associated with the selected first video perspective of the event, and the selected first audio perspective is provided for presentation in association with the selected first video perspective of the event.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2017Publication date: October 12, 2017Inventors: Debra Hensgen, Ludovic Pierre

Publication number: 20170289644Abstract: A method for providing video and audio perspectives of audio/video content is presented. In an example embodiment, a media content item is received that includes audio/video content having at least one video perspective and a plurality of audio perspectives for the at least one video perspective. The at least one video perspective is provided with a first one of the plurality of audio perspectives for presentation on a display device. During the providing of the at least one video perspective with the first one of the plurality of audio perspectives, a first command is received from a media application configured to allow a user to select among the plurality of audio perspectives. Responsive to the first command, the video perspective is provided along with a selected second one of the plurality of audio perspectives in substitution of the first one of the plurality of audio perspectives for presentation on the display device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2017Publication date: October 5, 2017Inventors: Debra Hensgen, Ludovic Pierre

Patent number: 8347029Abstract: A method is provided for reducing the number of writes in a non-volatile memory (122). The method involves writing data in the non-volatile memory and determining a set of data from the data in the non-volatile memory to be written to a removable memory (126) that is operatively coupled to the non-volatile memory (e.g., a NAND memory). The method also involves writing the set of data to the removable memory (e.g., a hard disk) from the non-volatile memory. The method further involves writing a delineation marker (e.g., a sequence number) to the non-volatile memory specifying that the set of data has been written to the removable memory. Notably, the metadata of the data in the non-volatile memory comprises at least one marker set as a specific marker type (e.g., a valid marker and a dirty marker).Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2007Date of Patent: January 1, 2013Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Sanjeev N.
