  • Patent number: 10664389
Abstract: Provided are techniques for system testing using time compression. A first program and a second program of a workload are executed in accordance with a test clock, wherein the test clock is independent of a computer system clock, and wherein the first program and the second program are to be run in a specified sequence and each at a specified date and time. In response to the first program completing, the test clock is dynamically updated to the specified date and time of the second program to start execution of the second program.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 12, 2017
Date of Patent: May 26, 2020
    Assignee: International Business Machines Corporation
Inventors: Hassan A. Shazly, Debra K. Wagner

  • Patent number: 8127279
Abstract: Systems and methods associated with indexing of information in documents where the documents include line data with shift out/shift in (“SOSI”) code point encodings. SOSI controls are often embedded in documents encoded as simple line data (data formed to be printed on line printers). A document indexing system in accordance with features and aspects hereof converts the SOSI characters embedded in such a document to reserved codes for presentation on a user interface. The user may then precisely select trigger and field parameters used for identifying index values in such a line data document for purposes of indexing and archiving. The reserved controls help a user identify trigger and field value in a manner that the indexing system can track to determine whether and where the selected trigger and field values contain SOSI characters and thus require different column counting and indexing.

Date of Patent: February 28, 2012
Assignee: Ricoh Production Print Solutions LLC

  • Patent number: 6990483
Abstract: A method, system and program product for automatically retrieving documents is provided. Specifically, a hit list of documents is generated directly from an input file of requests. Once generated, the hit list is processed according to system, data object, storage node identification, storage drive and/or cache. Once sorted, plurality of retrieval programs are launched and executed in parallel to retrieve the requested documents.
