  • Publication number: 20170251422
Abstract: A mobile device with multiple WiFi transceivers and a method of using the same are disclosed. The mobile device may include at least two separate WiFi transceivers and at least two separate WiFi stacks, each of the WiFi stacks is coupled to one of the transceivers to enable separate control and concurrent use of the WiFi transceivers. Each of the WiFi stacks includes a WiFi application to provide a user interface to a corresponding one of the at least two WiFi transceivers; a WiFi driver configured to communicate with one of the WiFi transceivers; a WiFi supplicant module to communicate with one of the WiFi drivers; and a WiFi application programming interface (API) to expose control features to one of the WiFi applications. The mobile device includes a parameter consolidation module to generate a consolidated list of network parameters that satisfy requirements of both the WiFi transceivers.

  • Patent number: 9198215
Abstract: Reciprocal wireless connections may be established between a pair of devices to support failover, load balancing, traffic distribution, or other peer-to-peer connectivity features. Each device of a pair of devices may implement both a local wireless access point and a local wireless station to communicate with the other device of the pair of devices. Establishment of a second wireless connection between the pair of devices may be coordinated using a protocol extension of a first wireless connection. A multiplexing (MUX) component may coordinate traffic among the reciprocal wireless connections.

  • Patent number: 8078768
Abstract: A universal serial bus (USB) device communicates with a USB host over a USB to remotely wake up the USB host over the USB when the USB host is in a low power (e.g. deep sleep) mode. The USB device performs an activity to wake up the USB host. The USB host performs a remote wake up process in response to detecting the activity by the USB device. The USB host performs a resume process in response to performing the remote wake up process by the USB host. The USB device wakes up in response to the USB host performing the resume process.
