Patent number: 12002133Abstract: Jitter application techniques are described for vector objects as implemented by a vector object jitter application system. In an implementation, the vector object jitter application system receives an input defining a stroke to be drawn on a user interface. A vector object is then generated representing the stroke and having a variable width determined by applying jitter to the stroke. The vector object having the variable width is displayed in the user interface as the input is received.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2022Date of Patent: June 4, 2024Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Reena Agrawal, William C Eisley, Jr., Rohit Kumar Guglani, Paul A George, Gourav Tayal, Deep Sinha

Patent number: 11836832Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media directed to adaptable drawing guides. In implementations, a guide mode is identified. Generally, a guide mode indicates a manner in which to use a drawing guide to confine strokes corresponding with input paths. Upon detecting an input path, a stroke is drawn in accordance with the guide mode. For example, when an edge mode is employed, the drawn stroke is confined to align with at least one edge of the drawing guide, when an inside mode is employed, the drawn stroke is confined inside of the set of edges of the drawing guide, and when the outside mode is employed, the drawn stroke is confined outside of the set of edges of the drawing guide.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2022Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Elissa A. Publication number: 20230334223Abstract: Methods and systems disclosed herein relate generally to systems and methods for analyzing various stroke properties determined from strokes inputted by a user to generate a new glyph set for rendering type characters. A font-generating application receives, via a stroke input on a typographic layer presented on a user interface, strokes that trace a visual appearance of a glyph set comprising one or more glyphs. The font-generating application determines stroke properties for the strokes. The font-generating application constructs a new glyph set from the stroke properties. The font-generating application applies the new glyph set to render, on a user interface, one or more type characters that match a visual appearance of the new glyph set.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2023Publication date: October 19, 2023Inventors: Nipun JINDAL, Pramendra RATHI, Tanya JINDAL, Deep SINHA

Publication number: 20220206676Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for modifying drawing characteristics of digital raster images utilizing stroke properties. Specifically, the disclosed system receives a stroke input to draw a stroke within a raster layer of a digital raster image. The disclosed system determines drawing data by capturing stroke points and properties of the stroke and then store the drawing data within a metadata file associated with the digital raster image. The disclosed system receives a request to change at least one drawing attribute of the stroke to a different drawing attribute. In response to the request, the disclosed system modifies the digital raster image by updating the drawing data for the stroke according to the request and then re-generate the raster layer including the stroke utilizing the updated drawing data.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2020Publication date: June 30, 2022Inventors: Yogesh Chandra Tewari, Pramendra Rathi, Deep Sinha

Patent number: 11093130Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for performing drawing tool identification and retrieval. For instance, based on a user creating content within a digital image using a drawing tool, a drawing tool-retrieval system may determine a unique identifier corresponding to the drawing tool. The identifier may indicate the type of the drawing tool, as well as any configurable settings of the drawing tool selected by the user. The drawing tool-retrieval system can store the identifier in association with pixels corresponding to the content. When the user wishes to use the drawing tool again, the user can provide a drawing tool-picking input that includes selection of a pixel corresponding to the content. In response to the drawing tool-picking input, the drawing tool-retrieval system can obtain the identifier of the drawing tool and then activate the drawing tool to enable the user to edit the image with the drawing tool.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2020Date of Patent: August 17, 2021Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Deep Sinha, Ashish Anand
