  • Patent number: 10485496
Abstract: The present invention provides a radiotherapy apparatus (100) to generate both photon and electron beam mounted with dual KV beam ray source used for stereotactic imaging and CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) image with a greater FOV (Field Of View). The apparatus (IOO) comprises of a ring gantry (101), which includes at least two KV sources (102a and 102b), at least two movable detector (103 and 104) and a LINAC X-ray tube (106). The two movable detectors (103, 104) include a first movable detector (104) and a second movable detector (103). The second movable detector (103) has mechanism capture a half fan mode of X-ray beam of imaging radiation with a greater FOV having 250×450 mm. The half fan mode of X ray is captured by moving the second movable detector (103) or first movable detector (104) further towards the ISO centre (105) of the ring gantry (101).

  • Publication number: 20170172530
Abstract: The invention discloses an integrated device for carrying out mammography, tomosynthesis and stereotactic biopsy of patient's breast in sitting, standing and lying down position. The patient's breast is positioned on the detector and x-ray beam of suitable energy is collimated on the patient's breast to take 2D, 3D images and perform stereotactic biopsy operations. The x-ray source and the detector plate is capable of moving at different angles with respect to each other that assist in taking images and perform stereotactic biopsy of patient's breast in sitting, standing and lying down position.

  • Publication number: 20150352373
Abstract: An apparatus to deliver conformal radiotherapy using external beam Cobalt 60 source is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an enclosed circular gantry placed above the bearings along with an integrated in house X-ray unit with the X-ray detector, source head and beam stopper. The X-ray unit along with the X-ray detector of the enclosed circular gantry are aligned to the radiation beam plane such that 3-D image of the tumour can be constructed using a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and radiation treatment is delivered by beam limiting device, without moving the patient from one patients treatment couch to other thus reducing the inconvenience to the patient achieving high tumour positioning accuracy and for alignment of X-ray and radiation beams.
