  • Publication number: 20250078987
Abstract: An image classification model, e.g., a neural network model, may be trained on a set of training medical imaging exams each including a training report and a training medical image. A model generation module or device may, for each of the training medical imaging exams: use finding item criteria to reorganize text of the training report into a list of finding items, each associated with text extracted from the training report text, use natural language processing to analyze the resultant text associated with each finding item to determine an associated classification of each finding item, store, in a training dataset, the training medical imaging exam, the associated finding items, the matching text, and the classifications resulting from the analysis of the matching text. The trained neural network learns to output, for other medical imaging exams, one or more finding items and an associated classification data.

  • Publication number: 20250078970
Abstract: Medical report data (e.g., a paragraph of text that is dictated by a radiologist as they review a medical image) is automatically parsed and associated with an appropriate section (e.g., Lungs, Mediastinum, Heart, Bones, etc.) of a medical report. Each report section of a template report may be associated with character strings that are used to associate portions of the medical report data with a corresponding report section. Natural Language Processing may then be applied to each report section (and any associated text from the medical report data) to determine whether the section includes a “finding” or “no finding.” The medical report may then be used to train an AI model to emulate the analyzed medical report data.

  • Patent number: 9978250
Abstract: The present technology relates to apparatuses, methods and systems for detecting hygiene compliance, particularly in hospital and clinical settings, where hospital acquired infections (HAIs) are of concern. A temperature signature can be determined and then used to ascertain whether a user is compliant with a given hygiene standard. The present technology also relates to sanitizing compositions used in conjunction with such apparatuses, methods and systems.

  • Publication number: 20170199976
Abstract: Processes and systems for facilitating communications in a health care environment are provided. In one example, a process includes receiving a trigger from a wearable computer device to communicate with a medical application interface. The trigger may include detecting a hand gesture of a user of a wearable computer device (e.g., via a camera device or motion sensing device associated with the wearable computer device). The process may then display information associated with the medical application interface on the wearable computer device, and receive input from a user via the wearable computer device for interacting with the medical application interface. Displayed information may include patient information, medical records, test results, and so on. Further, a user may initiate and communicate with a remote user, the communication synchronizing information between two or more users (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20150127365
Abstract: Processes and systems for monitoring hand hygiene events (e.g., hand washing or sanitizing) are provided. In one example, a process includes receiving data associated with the initiation and completion of a hand hygiene event. The data may include image data captured by a camera included with a wearable computer device (e.g., a head mounted device or augmented reality glasses). The process may further determine a location and/or time associated with the initiation and completion of the hand hygiene event and monitor compliance and technique. A process may further include detecting a location (e.g., via a proximity beacon) of a wearable computer device and triggering a notification to initiate a hand hygiene event. Additionally, data from hand hygiene events, including compliance data, can be used to motivate or incentivize individuals to increase their compliance with hand hygiene practices (e.g., through various gamification strategies).
