  • Publication number: 20220013312
Abstract: Embodiment herein provide a vacuum Load break switch comprising a tank (Metallic or non-metallic) (1), an interruption system (2) enclosed in the tank (1), a drive lever (3) connected to the interruption system (2), a leak proof system (4) with multiple O-Rings connected to the interruption system (2), and a source side connector (5) and a load side connector (6) connected to the interruption system (2). During an open operation, a current inside the vacuum interruption system (2) is interrupted to move the interruption system (2) and create an isolation distance. Further, during a close operation, the vacuum interruption system (2) moves to make the isolation distance zero and then the current flow is started inside vacuum interruption system (2).

  • Patent number: 9148000
Abstract: A switchgear assembly includes a tank housing encapsulating switching contacts which are viewable through a transparent viewing port after illumination of the contacts. A reflective optical device for observing the position of the switching contacts is used to view the contacts at a safe distance outside of the tank housing through the transparent viewing port. An illuminating device is used to illuminate the switching contacts by directing the light from the illuminating device on the switch contacts.

Date of Patent: September 29, 2015
    Assignee: Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited

  • Patent number: 7911302
Abstract: A mechanism for a circuit breaker contact arm that allows current limiting by reducing the opening time is disclosed. A secondary trip assembly is arranged to actuate due to magnetic forces generated during an undesirable electrical condition such as a short circuit. The secondary trip system releases a contact arm assembly allowing the contact arm to rotate to an open position that interrupts the flow of electrical power.

  • Patent number: 7566840
Abstract: A mechanism for a circuit breaker contact arm that allows current limiting by reducing the opening time is disclosed. A contact arm is coupled to a contact arm mechanism that includes a carrier coupled to a first pair of linkages. A second pair of linkages is coupled to the first pair of linkages. A second carrier coupled to the second pair of linkages attaches to the contact arm mechanism to a main circuit breaker mechanism through a lay shaft assembly. Upon the occurrence of an undesired electrical condition, the contact arm mechanism moves from a locked to an open position allowing the contact arm to blow open.
