  • Publication number: 20250081030
Abstract: Methods and apparatus configured to obtain a decision-point value, and send, for a logical channel group (LCG) having a quantity of data pending an uplink transmission, a long buffer status report in response to the decision-point value exceeding a threshold value, or a short buffer status report in response to the decision-point value being equal to or less than the threshold value are disclosed. The decision-point value may be a buffer status report-type determinative value, which may be based on a peak power envelope of a wireless communication device, a data transmission rate historically obtained by the wireless communication device, a number of component carriers available for a complete upload of a buffer holding data, a cost function, an amount of data associated with the LCG that is pending the uplink transmission, a type of the wireless communication device, or a latency of communications of the wireless communication device.

  • Publication number: 20250063511
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A network node may transmit a first message using a first transmit power based on a first set of values corresponding to a set of power control parameters. The set of power control parameters may include an accumulated transmit power control parameter. The network node may receive a second message including information indicative of at least one of a second set of values corresponding to the set of power control parameters. The network node may transmit a third message using a second transmit power based on a value corresponding to the accumulated transmit power control parameter. The value may correspond to the accumulated transmit power control parameter, which may be based on a first difference between one or more of the first set of values from before the second message and one or more of the second set of values.

  • Publication number: 20240313908
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Some aspects more specifically relate to selectively discarding a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) state in association with a HARQ state retention timer or downlink control information (DCI) misdetection information. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may discard a HARQ state in association with an expiration of the HARQ state retention timer. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may identify DCI misdetection information that indicates a likelihood that the UE did not receive first DCI transmitted by the network node. The UE may discard the HARQ state in association with the likelihood being greater than a threshold. In some aspects, the UE may receive second DCI that includes an NDI, and may transmit a communication in association with selectively discarding the HARQ state and receiving the DCI.

  • Patent number: 11711772
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, BS transmits first and second configurations for first and second BWPs to UE. The first BWP is set as an active BWP based on the first configuration. BS transmits TCP command(s) that set an active power control adjustment state. BS transitions the active BWP from the first BWP to the second BWP based on the second configuration. The active power control adjustment state is maintained after the active BWP transition (e.g., not reset to some default state).

  • Publication number: 20230232265
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a measurement gap configuration from a base station, wherein the measurement gap configuration includes a tune away period. The UE may determine whether one or more data traffic criteria are satisfied for the tune away period. The UE may disregard the measurement gap configuration based at least in part on the determination of whether the one or more data traffic criteria are satisfied. The UE may remain tuned to the base station during the tune away period based at least in part on the determination of whether the one or more data traffic criteria are satisfied. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Publication number: 20150109927
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for routing data bearers of a user equipment (UE) while the UE is handing over or associating to a base station (BS) of a first radio access technology (RAT) while being served by a BS of a second RAT are disclosed. An Xw interface that is used to control offloading and routing of data bearers between base stations of disparate RATs is disclosed. Call flows illustrating the use of the Xw interface and apparatus using the Xw interface are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140321376
Abstract: Techniques for managing downlink transmissions from a base station to multiple UEs over aggregated LTE and WLAN links are provided. The base station may jointly assign resources for transmitting downlink data during a scheduling instance. The resource assignment may include a prioritization based on channel conditions and system throughput when the links are considered jointly. In accordance with the joint resource assignment, the base station may build packets for the downlink transmission at an aggregating layer which, for example, may be coupled to media access control (MAC) elements associated with the respective links. The base station may then transmit the packets to at least a subset of the UEs based on the joint resource assignment.
