  • Publication number: 20200234158
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for analyzing feature impact of a machine-learning model using prototypes across analytical spaces. For example, the disclosed system can identify features of data points used to generate outputs via a machine-learning model and then map the features to a feature space and the outputs to a label space. The disclosed system can then utilize an iterative process to determine prototypes from the data points based on distances between the data points in the feature space and the label space. Furthermore, the disclosed system can then use the prototypes to determine the impact of the features within the machine-learning model based on locally sensitive directions; region variability; or mean, range, and variance of features of the prototypes.

  • Patent number: 10721239
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to threat detection, and more particularly, to techniques for managing user access to resources in an enterprise environment. Some aspects are directed to the concept of managing access to a target resource based on a threat perception of a user that is calculated using a rule or policy based risk for the user and a behavior based risk for the user. Other aspects are directed to preventing insider attacks in a system based on a threat perception for each user logged into the system that is calculated using a rule or policy based risk for each user and a behavior based risk for each user. Yet other aspects are directed to providing a consolidated view of users, applications being accessed by users, and the threat perception, if any, generated for each of the users.

  • Patent number: 10719392
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for error recovery in a digital data channel. In an error recovery approach when the hardware fails to recover a sector, the sample for that sector can be saved along with a metric measure that indicates the quality of the sample. This process can begin from a first on-the-fly receiving and decoding of data. During each step of error recovery, a retry attempt may either use samples obtained during a new decoding attempt or may use a sample, or a combination of samples, having the best metric from an earlier attempt, or a combination of earlier attempts, to perform the recovery during a current retry recovery attempt.

  • Publication number: 20200227525
Abstract: A driver circuit for a three-dimensional (3D) memory device has a field management structure electrically coupled to a gate conductor. The field management structure causes an electric field peak in a vertical channel of the 3D memory device when a voltage differential exists between the source conductor and the drain conductor and the gate conductor is not biased. The electrical field peak can adjust the electrical response of the driver circuit, enabling the circuit to have a higher breakdown threshold voltage and improved drive current. Thus, the driver circuit can enable a scalable vertical string driver that is above the memory array instead of under the memory array circuitry.

  • Publication number: 20200228598
Abstract: A stand-alone, network accessible data storage device, such as a filer or NAS device, is capable of transferring data objects based on portions of the data objects. The device transfers portions of files, folders, and other data objects from a data store within the device to external secondary storage based on certain criteria, such as time-based criteria, age-based criteria, and so on. A portion may be one or more blocks of a data object, or one or more chunks of a data object, or other segments that combine to form or store a data object. For example, the device identifies one or more blocks of a data object that satisfy a certain criteria, and migrates the identified blocks to external storage, thereby freeing up storage space within the device. The device may determine that a certain number of blocks of a file have not been modified or called by a file system in a certain time period, and migrate these blocks to secondary storage.
