  • Publication number: 20170339022
Abstract: Techniques for performing anomaly detection and prediction in a packet broker of a visibility network are provided. According to one embodiment, the packet broker can apply one or more machine learning models to network traffic that is replicated from a core network. The packet broker can further detect or predict, based on the application of the one or more machine learning models, the occurrence of a network traffic anomaly in the core network. The packet broker can then take one or more predefined actions in response to the detection/prediction of the anomaly.

  • Patent number: 9825987
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for recommending content of a predefined category to an account holder, or account holders based on the account holder application graphs. The system receives information corresponding to applications executing on the client device of the account holders and generates an application graph for each account holder that includes a list of predefined application categories that are preferred by the account holder. For each predefined category, a list of account holders preferring content relevant to that category is predicted based on the set of generated application graphs.

  • Patent number: 9826033
Abstract: Redirecting message flows to bypass load balancers. A destination intermediary receives a source-side message that includes a virtual address of a load balancer as a destination, and that is augmented to include a network address of a destination machine as a destination. The destination intermediary determines that a source intermediary should address subsequent network messages that originate from a source machine and that are associated with the same multi-message flow to the destination machine while bypassing the load balancer. The destination intermediary modifies the source-side message so the destination for the source-side message addresses the destination machine, and passes the modified source-side message to the destination machine.

  • Patent number: 9820991
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved novel process of manufacturing a sterile, ophthalmic pharmaceutical suspension comprising an active ingredient(s) such as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (CAIs) wherein the said process involves solubilization, followed by controlled precipitation of carbonic anhydrase inhibitors of the right particle size, e.g., less than 10 micron, preferably less than 5 micron (D90) by varying pH with a little or no homogenization. Said process further does not require the use of any special equipment such as ball mill, milling bottle and/or jet mill. This newly improved process is simple, cost effective and efficient.

  • Patent number: 9823333
Abstract: A broadcast from a beacon associated with a mobile device is detected, at a proximate device. The broadcast includes an identifier associated with the mobile device. The identifier is sent to a service provider system to receive a confirmation that the mobile device associated with the identifier is lost. Upon receiving the confirmation, using the proximate device, a first location of the proximate device is determined at a first time, and a first signal strength of the broadcast is measured at the first time and at the first location. A location of the beacon is computed using the first signal strength and the first location from the proximate device, and by further using a second signal strength measurement at a second location and a third signal strength at a third location.

  • Publication number: 20170331833
Abstract: A method and system is described securely capturing up-to-date data and presenting the up-to-date data in an analytic visualization. An update server receives a data request from a container that can display the analytic visualization. The update server generates a data processing instruction and transmits it to a data server. The update server then receives a processed data set from the data server, generates a visualization update based on the processed data set, and transmits the visualization update to the container. The container can then display the analytic visualization with up-to-date data from the data server. Because the data processing is performed at the data server, the remaining data on the data server is never moved through the network and remains secure. The update server can also receive from the container, and transmit to the data server, an identifier whose permissions limit data access from the data server.

  • Publication number: 20170327729
Abstract: Resin coatings are frequently formed in conjunction with performing a subterranean treatment operation. However, poor thermal conductivity and mechanical strength of resin coatings can be problematic in a downhole environment and eventually lead to their breakdown. Methods for enhancing a resin coating in a downhole environment can comprise: introducing a treatment fluid comprising a curable resin and a carbon nanomaterial into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation; forming a coating of the curable resin on a surface in the wellbore, the carbon nanomaterial being dispersed throughout the coating; and curing the curable resin to form a cured resin coating.

  • Publication number: 20170329792
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for optimizing object storage workflow. A category of a computational algorithm received from a user of a client device is identified, the category identifying a set of features that are optimal for executing the computational algorithm and comprising hardware, operating system type, operating system version, and virtualization technology. Features associated with a plurality of nodes in a plurality of infrastructures in an object storage architecture are searched for at least one node that has the set of features identified by the category of the computational algorithm. Responsive to identifying a node that has the set of features identified by the category of the computational algorithm, a determination is made as to whether resources associated with the node are immediately available. Responsive to the resources associated with the node being immediately available, the computational algorithm is issued to the node for execution.

  • Patent number: 9817670
Abstract: When a main processor issues a command to co-processor, a timeout value is included in the command. As the co-processor attempts to execute the command, it is determined whether the attempt is taking time beyond what is permitted by the timeout value. If the timeout is exceeded then responsive action is taken, such as the generation of a command timeout type failure message. The receipt of the command with the timeout value, and the consequent determination of a timeout condition for the command, may be determined by: the co-processor that receives the command, or a watchdog timer that is separate from the co-processor. Also, detection of co-processor hang and/or hung co-processor conditions during the time that a co-processor is executing a command for the main processor.
