  • Patent number: 11924730
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for operating emergency prevention sensor systems are described. Devices can include a plurality of components including a sensor component, a processor, and memory. In an example, a method can include receiving at a processor signaling from a plurality of environmental sensing devices, each having at least one biodegradable component, in an area of concern, wherein the area of concern corresponds to a particular set of coordinates in a database, determining environmental characteristics of an emergency associated with the area of concern based, at least in part, on the signaling, and determining a preventive action based on the determined characteristics. In another example, a number of components of the sensing devices are biodegradable.

  • Publication number: 20200356965
Abstract: Payment administration systems and methods. A system includes first and second provider entities, a risk bearing entity, a distributed ledger and a payment manager application. The first provider entity provides at least a first step of the bundled treatment episode. The second provider entity provides at least a second step of the bundled treatment episode. The risk bearing entity approves the bundled treatment episode. The first and second provider entities and the risk bearing entity enter into one or more smart contracts related to payments for the bundled treatment episode. The distributed ledger enforces the one or more smart contracts. The payment manager application uses the distributed ledger technology. Each of the first and second provider entities send claims to the payment manager application. The payment manager application tags the claims as being part of the bundled treatment episode and approves the claims in accordance with the smart contracts.

  • Publication number: 20200335184
Abstract: A system and method for tracking clinical samples and clinical trials. The system includes a distributed ledger for enforcing one or more smart contracts, a plurality of entities joined to the distributed ledger, a plurality of nodes corresponding to the plurality of entities, and a management application. The plurality of entities include a trial sponsor entity, a trial site entity, a laboratory entity, and a research organization entity. Each entity of the plurality of entities comprises a corresponding enterprise system. The plurality of nodes corresponding to the plurality of entities. A corresponding node of the plurality of nodes communicates with the corresponding enterprise system of the plurality of entities using an applications programming interface (API) to communicate with the distributed ledger. The plurality of entities communicate using the API to engage in one or more smart contracts managed by the distributed ledger and related to the clinical samples and the clinical trials.

  • Patent number: 10382580
Abstract: Examples relate to scaling persistent connections for cloud computing. In some examples, a data packet is used to determine connection information of the first connection. At this stage, server portion of the first connection is closed by using the connection information to send a close command to the cloud server. In response to a keepalive signal from the client computing device, the connection information is used to send a keepalive response to the client computing device to maintain a client portion of the first connection. In response to a service request from the client computing device, a service notification including the service request is sent to the client computing device, where the client computing device initiates a second connection with the cloud server to process the service request.

  • Publication number: 20180247376
Abstract: A system and method for validating claims using an distributed ledger. An electronic claim data file is received from a provider computer client. The electronic claim data file is parsed to determine a claim transaction. The claim transaction is scored. The claim transaction is written to the distributed ledger. A smart contract data file is received from a lender computer client. The smart contract data file includes a smart contract associating the claim transaction with a loan transaction. The smart contract is written to the distributed ledger. The smart contract associating the claim transaction and the loan transaction is executed.
